Mine is a couple of years old and casts like a dream. Great reel.

I use a calais dc and that reel is in another class than any other reel I have ever used. It is the stella of bait casters! But I have a daiwa viento and it's a great reel. so is my curado and pflugers But over all shimano products are hard to beat fresh or salt.

How about Shimano Calais 200dc? Or the Real Champ a Abu Chrome Rocket thats been super tuned.

If you could have only 1 spin reel and 1 baitcaster. Which woud you want? Me I'll take a Stella sw4000 and a Calais 200.dc. Now Yer Talkin!
