I use a calais dc and that reel is in another class than any other reel I have ever used. It is the stella of bait casters! But I have a daiwa viento and it's a great reel. so is my curado and pflugers But over all shimano products are hard to beat fresh or salt.

I don't have a Calcutta but I own a Calais 200 d.c. and I love it! No problems at all.
