Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Heck of a deal man. I just saw a set of those knobs two days ago. Nice! They’re getting harder to find. I only have two sets and they ride these two cousins. 53FE1734-D9DA-41BD-BF77-6491DC0AE88B.jpeg Nice! Curious how the 1516 spool runs in HLC 1516? I didn't have a good luck with running a 100 spo...

Re: Which BFS reel?

Daiwa Steez/Alphas CT TW. Original spool casts even 2g lures. You can also use that for thicker lines and heavier lures if need. Much more versatile than pure bfs reel. =D> Agreed. These are what makes the newer reels really awesome. With the proper rod, SV Light can cast 1/16 oz head plus small pl...

It's been mostly slow at the local pond this year, but managed to snatch this bluegill eater the other evening.

Re: Steez A TW - Worth it?

Geat reels, just kind of ugly out of the box. Stock spool is okay, best for 1/2 oz and above range imo. Good thing is there's a plenty of spool options for upgrade.

Re: Steez A revisited...

It works but won't be as good as newer SV spools with thinner inductor cups.

Re: EVA handles ... yea or nay ?

Personal preference. I like the way eva looks and feels. Now all my rods are eva, no cork knobs on any of my reels. Cork does nothing for me, nothing wrong with them.

Weren't the other air spools(ss and t3)made by ktf as well? I don't think it's anything new.

Nice! Thanks for the write up. What do you mean by where titanium joins carbon? Thought this rod was solid carbon tip, not super metal tip?

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

Oh yea sure today is the day i learn all daiwa reels are jdm design reels and daiwa is a Japanese company. What i meant is those were tweaked from JDM versions to move as high end jdm style reels for north american market.

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

He didn't say JDM reels, JDM design reels. Z200, Zillion and pixy type-r. Oh yea they moved so well, Daiwa NA won't forget that.
