Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
The rod does indeed weigh 3oz on my scale, but it doesn’t feel eye-openingly light when I’m holding it. Ultimately it’s just 10-15% lighter than a bunch of other rods; noticeable when directly comparing it to other rods, but only then. And unfortunately the rod is tip-heavy: it balances a few inche...

Re: Underrated Over Performer, the Jackall Rhythm Wave
Not a favorite of mine Dark Sleeper, Hazedong and Keitechs produce way better but willing to still give them a chance here and there. Bought smaller 2.8" hoping for crappie bite. I didnt see mentioned the unique smell the RW has thats most notable to me.

Re: TackleTour Exclusive: On the Water with the New G.Loomis Conquest Rod Series
Would have liked a 7'6" Medium Fast casting for open area FAT IKA use.
From reading description the 903C 7'6" Medium Heavy might be too stout??

Re: Is Fenwick's New Flagship Really World Class?
I have the 7'6" MH/F World Class got it for $200 April 2016. Yeah its a very good rod at $200. I bought a number of other MH & H 7'4"-7'6" rods Omen 2, Elite Tech Bass, AvidX, E6X returned all of them none felt as good as the World Class, in hand balance/weight is very good. The p...

Re: America's Best Selling Reel?
From article: "With spincast reels, you click the button at the back of the reel at the exact moment you want to release the line during your cast. Simple right? Not for this enthusiast!" You should click/hold the button prior to starting your swing then let go of the button at end of swin...

WOW very poor showing for the hype this stick gets???
But being unbalanced a bit porky can lead to less perceived sensitivity.
Ive handle these at shows and was never impressed by them.

Re: Introducing Sunline's New P-Ion Assassin FC
"knot strength worked out to be about 51% of the line's rated strength"
So once a knot is tied this 12# rated line only holds to 6#
Will different knots make this perform better?
My 8# Nanofil tied to a 4/0 hook with a Uni knot can just pick up a 12# anchor.

Re: Product Insight : Zillion TWS a.k.a. Tatula Z?
So your saying that an experienced angler like Cal needed to use 50% of the Chronarch's available braking to make it comfortable to cast with. Not exactly a ringing endorsement. Wait seriously??! If anything the new system is harder to backlash...it's still centrifigul force, but now with even fine...

Re: Product Insight : Zillion TWS a.k.a. Tatula Z?
This, and if we give the same weight to the comparison test done here between the Zillion TWS and the Chronarch CI4 where the testing showed the Zillion TWS to be a better caster and equal to the Chronarch in pitching. With this new insight basically saying the Zillion TWS and the Tatula are the sa...
