Re: Okuma Cal's Grease
Yes it is the same exact Cal's Grease. I work for Okuma and we have had a great relationship with Cal for a long time. He helped with the engineering of the Makaira reel line and since all our saltwater reels use Cal's drag grease we were granted permission to re-package his grease.

The reels are not out yet, they are reviewing the Citrix 200 size, the 350 size will be out in Sept.

Re: 2014 Okuma Citrix 350 Sneak Peak
My Citrix 350 has 6 striped bass over 40 pounds on it. It is a beast of a reel.

Re: NRX not aging well
Wow if my 550.00 rod came back with that crap wrap on the guide and rep says it is because they do hundreds a day, I would sell that rod as quick as possible.

Re: Putting The Brakes On
What about having to access the side plate for a centrifugal brake system compared to a dial on the outside of the plate for a magnetic? I don't really see any issues with removing the side plate to access this, but has anyone had issues while fishing and fumbling with a side plate?

Putting The Brakes On
What do you find to be the better braking system on low profile reels? Do you prefer a magnetic braking system or a centrifugal pin system? I like the magnetic for ease of adjustment (usually on the outside of the side plate) but I do feel I get more control on a centrifugal pin system. What are you...

Re: Deps Slide Swimmer
Looks like deps will be releasing some new colors of the slide swimmer soon. Hopefully they do another run of the trout pattern.

Re: Any Okuma Raw II review
I have fished the 30 size a few times. Lots of drag power, and I mean lots of drag power from the carbon dual force drags. Gearing was smooth and the reel is a work horse.

I have fished the reels and have it matched up with Okuma's EVX cranking rod and it is perfect.

Deps Slide Swimmer
Does anyone know if Deps will be doing another production run of these baits? I lost my last 250 trout this past weekend and am crushed.

Re: Savage Tackle
I am also becoming a big Savage Gear fan especially their eel baits (awesome drop shot baits for bass or wacky rigged) and the hard and soft 4plays. I believe Okuma is distributing them in the U.S. so the baits will be easier to find.

Why did Megabait change the LA Slider?
What happened to the LA Slider? Why did Megabait drop it and start making the Bass Grande? Does anyone know where you can still get the Megabait 7.5 inch trout patterned sliders? The new Bass Grande's are nowhere near the same.
