Re: Fishing Drones Have Arrived: The Ludicrous PowerRay, a Fishing Drone that Uses Sonar and 4K Video to Catch Fish
It's like SI on steroids. The potential to explore underwater is amazing. I wouldnt use it to actually fish with, but to be able to go down and actually scout the environment the fish are living in is extremely beneficial. No different that snorkeling or diving and doing the same, although you dont...

Re: Is Maxima Ultragreen Really the Best by Test?
It is my go to tippet material for Steelhead on the fly. The stiffness helps with turning over the big wet flies I use in the winter. The strength and abrasion resistance is great in the rocky boulder strewn rivers I fish. It's nothing fancy, but it works great. Honestly Yo-Zuri Hybrid and P-Line CX...

Yup. I like the Fujis as I can get the bait to stand out and not hit the blank as well. Reduces blank damage.Pen3 wrote:I do too, just not one that will eventually lead to cracked epoxy.civicrr wrote:I would be on the opposite side. I want my crankbait rods to have hook keepers.

Re: Evergreen International's Pencil Popper - the Shower Blo
I'm curious as to why such a light rod? I use an 854c with mine and can make it spit 90* to each side in a tight splashing walk.

Re: Taking a Walk with Spro's Aruku Shad
Great lure, great review. The only negative I've noticed is this baits tendency to tumble on the cast as opposed to other lipless baits.

Re: Dobyns Rods Cranks It Up with a Search For One Candidate
I have been fishing this rod for about a year now. After trying multiple reels on it, I like my Z on it, and use it for small a rigs. Definitely a versatile rod, and a balanced setup. I 'd say it's weight ratings are pretty spot on as well, which is stated in this review. I've had mine for two year...

Re: Sahara 2500FD Handle Replacement
Thanks for the response. The handle has the square pin coming out of it that keys into the body. I havent seen an aftermarket handle that has the same design, most screw in with the shaft. I hate that T-Knob

Sahara 2500FD Handle Replacement
Is there a direct swap handle for the Sahara 2500FD that has a removable knob? The factory knob is riveted on.

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV
Yeah I was wondering where the drag chart was. It has swayed a couple of my reel purchases. It is erratic at the upper end, but unless you hero hook set jigs with it, the drag is fine. I swapped mine for carbontex because I like to lay the wood to fish and am using the Alphas for heavy cover fishin...

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV
I wonder how much distance did the alphas get, tossing a cross tail shad on a owner mosquito hook. I'd also like to know :big grin: If I didn't have 40lb braid on mine I woulda ran it on my X7 Super Elseil last night and tried that. I was busy casting weightless robo worms and 3" Senkos on my ...
