Hey Johnny, I'd say the Windbuster is what you're after, I have been throwing weightless Dot Crawlers on it and it casts beautifully, even in wind (as the name implies). Sensitive, perfect balance and enough power if you're around some light cover. I don't think you'd be disappointed with it.

Re: Megabass Rod Recommendation
The Gen2 EMTF is definitely a little more moderate since the 'dual function of the Gen1 EMTF was split out to the new Gen2 EMTF and the Braillist. Braillist would probably be what you're looking for, but if you didn't mind losing a little length the Diablo Spec-R might suit your desired application.

Re: must have megabass rods?
For me Hedgehog Evolution (original), Amart F3-610DGS, and the original Evoluzion Red Demon, not sure if you meant 'must have' rods in terms of readily available, but those are just some in my collection that I'd never part with.

Re: Enthusiast/JDM rod for moving baits
For my two cents would suggest a MB rod in the EMTF/Javelin range, I use it for football heads deep, lipless cranks, open water spinnerbaits for smallies, very versatile rods.

Re: Electric Boat Trailer Brakes
I got mine at a local trailer supply place, but they are pretty easily found, sorry that's not much help.

I have installed them, best thing I ever did with that boat. Can't remember brand etc but pretty simple install and make so much more sense that surge brakes.

Rest assured I don't think there will be any disappointment with the new generation. Can't wait for them to release...

Re: Shattered my P3 Bearing Down
I guess also part of the determination would be, do you throw fluoro or braid when you fish this light cover !/4 to 1/2oz. as you mention?

Re: outdated legendary tackle
Those Scorpion 1001 are still one of my favourite reels of all time, and into the MG models as well. The one old Shimano I have held onto is the Metanium MG, was my first JDM reel and just can't seem to part with it.
