Re: SLP Custom Body Zillion TW
not sure why that's worth calling me out - maybe instead of quoting my entire post, you could simply link to your previous post. I answered the OP's question and linked SDS Customs in Ukraine, who's a stand-up vendor if you're patient for the post. Ali Express list is pretty long, also, with AMO an...

Re: How Old is 3" Bass?
If you were at DVL, that fish is probably from an early spawner this year. Some fish will spawn in early February. It doesn't take long for them to get a few inches in length. They grow much slower once they get closer to 12 inches. The back of coves and the shallows will be loaded with fingerlings ...

Re: SLP Custom Body Zillion TW
I have one - three main upgrades, 2nd BB on worm gear (ala Steez) Improved "hyperdrive" gears Most important is probably upgraded clutch. What I like best about it, it doesn't come with spool and handle, which I would change, anyway. I bought my reel body from Amazon for $229 incl tax. I first put ...

Re: Best Spools for OG Zillions in 2024?
The biggest problem you will run into with SV-designed spool in TD Zillion is insufficient magnet strength/ too low inductor mass for adequate braking. I would take the Question to Jun Sonada at JapanTackle - he has perfect English, and knows everything about matching spools with these reels. The m...

Re: Wanees decal kits
Very interesting. I'm not sure that I want my reels to look like an engraved shotgun, but those look thick enough to provide some protection.

Re: Do You still Use Lures that You Bought, When You're a Kid?
I still *have* lures that I bought when I was a kid, but there are probably at the bottom of the archeological dig that is my tackle room. All the older stuff is at the bottom. I found a few bags of hand poured worms that were popular in the late 80s and early 90s, but apparently rubber doesn't las...

Re: Do You still Use Lures that You Bought, When You're a Kid?
I have quite a few topwaters primarily, but also a few balsa cranks. I've got several large 10 gallon plastic storage containers full of handpours from the 1980's and 90's. Every once in while I will dig out a few to throw on a specific lake. I have a few topwaters from the 50's and 60's that were m...
Re: New pixy
I am interested in a new Alphas or Pixy for BFS. I was looking at the Alphas 800S (shallow spool) or the Air version. My old Alphas SV105 with a 33mm spool doesn't cast very well when the line guide is all the way to the left or right. Once you take off about 2mm of line from the top of the spool, ...

Re: JIS screw driver set
My Wiha drivers haven't had a problem with the death screw. There is a lot of old info on here about the death screw. I hope that you can access it. I know a lot of the old stuff is no longer accessible.

Such a fun medium power moving bait combo! https://i.postimg.cc/6pLdksbD/7-F78-E794-4909-4-B62-8-FBF-1606806-A5-D52.jpg The TDZ and TD Fuegos do make great medium power moving bait reels. There are so many great spools that you can put in them. The TDZ 6.3 brass gears in my TD Fuegos are especially...

Re: Red Zillion SV TW 1000.
The faceplate/engine covers on the old TDZ, TD Zillion, and TD Fuego reels love to peel and/or turn gold. I have replaced quite a few over the years. They were around $12 the last time that I bought a few. I keep telling myself to sand and paint a few, but I never seem to have time. The black cover ...

Re: Red Zillion SV TW 1000.
Looks good! Wonder if the colors with mismatch finishes like the TW HD does. It has the shiny black metal side plates/frame, then a more matte black on that plastic cover. That is still the only dislike I have about the new Zillions... I saw yesterday that the SLP Works store on Amazon has their Zi...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
IMG_2146.jpg A nice 7.1 pound fish on BFS tackle last night. I was on em with a new prototype plastic that I created. It's going to be interesting to see if it catches fish everywhere. My creation caught six on the first seven casts. I don't know if it's that good, or it is just something different...
