Surprisingly not mentioned is the drag performance/smooth drag test?
Also- Stella Max drag: 7lbs. Exist LT Max drag: 11lb.
Unless the Stella has slightly better drag performance that negates the drag ratings, I'm not sure how this can be a tie. Specswise, Daiwa has the stouter drag.

Re: Cranking It Up with Spro's John Crew's Fat John 60
Always liked the look & design of the crews crankbaits, spent a decent amount of time throwing them- but for whatever reason they never produced well for me. Similar experience with the imma shaker(which the shallow crews kind of reminded me of). They look like they should be good fish catchers ...

Re: Crank It Up! : Berkley Fishing's Comprehensive Dredger
Solid review! I remember reading about this when it was still in the prototype/testing phase, David Fritts helped designed it. Wish I could remember some of the details, there was some cool science to it. I remember the Rapala DT(also designed by Fritts) was the benchmark it was measured against whe...

Re: Normark Shines Once Again with new Rapala and VMC Offerings
That brat crankbait design looks identical to Anglers republic(AR lures) crank 50. I wonder if rapala bought the rights to it :-k Great little crankbait with unique design. (Yuki Ito thought so highly of the internals of AR's larger 1/2oz crank, he used the design for the MB S-crank  ). I'l...

Personally not a fan of those SK type reel seats but that rod seems really nice! Good job Castaway

Re: The “Curado” Series extends to Bass Rods
Meh, these rods look way too plain, boring. The IMX-Pro looks like a better fit for the new Curado's. Agreed, but maybe the sensitivity will outperform its dull looks Right. I think they look alright, albeit a bit understated. And they have full grips which is nice. They're also less than half the ...

Re: Jackall’s New Reaction Baits – Kaera Frog and Rerange Jerkbaits
I'm not mad at that frog. I liked the iobe frog, I'll be getting one of these to test. Looks like it can make a good amount of commotion in the thick stuff with that flat slightly upturned wide nose, but won't scoop salad like a popping frog's nose and has a keel to cut through slop. The colors are ...

That bat lure is a knock off of an old Japanese wooden lure.
Still, cool that they put it out with modern material

Re: [kroe-nark] : Casting Reel ... 1. must have
A review already? Did shimano give you a prototype? Nope... we don't write full reviews on prototypes. If they had sent us one, it would have been a preview or insight article. I sourced my first one from JapanTackle.com ... second one was from TackleWarehouse.com 8-) So you did your review in 2 we...

Re: Fishing Drones Have Arrived: The Ludicrous PowerRay, a Fishing Drone that Uses Sonar and 4K Video to Catch Fish
When I saw this at the show the first thing I thought was exactly what I repeated in the video "can you really call this fishing?" There is no doubt that drones are going to become more prevalent in the water too but it was interesting that PowerVision decided to target anglers specifical...

Re: Is the Search Over? St. Croix's New Legend Elite EC70MF
Glad to see these get a review. =D> As for the score, in the infamous words of Nate Diaz: "I'm not surprised motherf***ers!" I knew they'd fair well in a review. After handling them earlier this year, I was super impressed and plan on stocking up. St. Croix really ticked all the boxe...

Who cares about the 2016 zillion sv, 2016 steez tw, sv103, 2016 antares dc, tatula ct, scorpion/cuardo 70, etc. Bring on the reviews for the ancient 3 ball bearing 9oz Abu reels from 1996  (And a more in depth review than the highly anticipated alphas sv reel at that  ). Re: There's Nothing Mysterious About Sunline's Super Natural
Good review! I pretty much fish Sufix exclusively these days(Siege mono & fluorocarbon) due to no memory and being super strong, but Super natural is my 2nd choice for mono. It's a good line, definitely has some memory but not as bad as other brands. And the blue color is awesome for Lake Lanier...

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV
Sorry guys.. thought I addressed casting performance more thoroughly, but I cannot check my original document as I am out of town right now and won't be returning until just before we leave for ICAST. We had trouble with the Sweet Drag Chart too on upload. Regarding scoring differences ... it happe...
