Use a wench socket about the same size of spool and gently tap the socket with a hammer to round out the dented spot on the spool, works great.

I use the Powell 3D 755 and 7115, both are composite rods. Great price too for a light in weight rod.

I use a GLoomis IMX PR8400 graphite when the fish want an aggressive action to the lure. I use a Powell Max 702CB glass for a slower action in the lure. I use Powell 702cb and 703cb GLASS for topwater and jerkbaits. They weigh less than 4oz and are under $170. As long as it has treble hooks I'll use glass.
