Ice rods

What are some high end ice rods?

Also what action do you guys like for all around, trout, crappie, etc.

Oh, one other question, I see a lot of rods that don't have rod seats and would prefer not to use tape, what else is
there to attach a reel to the rod?

Thanks.

Re: Received St Croix Legend Elite 6'7" after waiting for 1 1/2 months...

I think you have the new model, the new models say SCV but are reinforced with SCVI in the lower section of the rod.

It also has TET its just not listed.

You can find out when it was made by following this link.

Conquest 842s

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has the 842s spinning rod and what they think about it.

I have a GLX 842c and love this blank, so how does it compare?

Thanks.

Re: High end trout specific rods

3/16, 10 lbs braid. Seems like you may do better with L rather than UL rods? normally trout rods are UL but your type of fishing may land fish more efficiently (defined by landing fish with highest % success per hour of time invested and in the shortest fight time possible to land) by using L blank...

Re: Sunline Xplasma Asegai

Got a chance to use the 18lb with 3/8 oz jigs, and the 16lb with 3/16 oz shakey heads this week. Very pleased with these lines, definite improvement over the 10, 15, and 20lb yellow 832 lines I was using. None of that sticky coating, and the light green color stays on the line and is just as visibl...
