Re: Core vs steez

I had two Cores prior to owning any Daiwa reels. I've since sold the Cores and have a couple Steez's and a couple MB IS reels. Can't really explain it but the Steez just feels better to me. I'll agree the Core is easier to just set and go fishing but the Steez, when properly set up, outperforms the ...

Re: 30 lb braided main line suggestion...???

I use 30lb Samurai or PP Ss8 on pretty much all of my set ups with no problem. Usually a 12lb leader involved as well. I have couple with 20 lb and I'm happy with them to.

Re: daiwa's TWS and braided line

I run braid with leaders on all my casting reels, including a few of the T3 family. Never had an issue and would never personally stray from braid.

Re: FX68 Megabass T3

Took it out the other day to a nearby private lake where bass are plentiful and gave it a good workout. Caught about 18 in a a couple hours and the reel performed better than I could have hoped. I actually think its my new go to reel and I'm ready to order a second one. Vastly improved from the orig...

Re: FX68 Megabass T3

Got mine out on the water briefly today with some 30 lb pp ss. By far the smoothest operating T3 I've used yet. I haven't used an SV yet to compare but I've tried the rest and this one is fantastic. Smooth on the retrieve and casts very long. Very solid feeling unlike the original T3. Didn't catch a...

I'm confident the zonda I got is legit. I agree with others about making sure to buy from reputable sellers and check feedback on eBay. Highspeed, for instance, is a great seller. Generally I prefer to avoid eBay and stick with the the online Japanese retailers but sometimes I can't resist.

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty excited about this one. Just ordered a MB XX rod from TW so I might have to throw it on there. It was unreal how quickly it came from Japan. I ordered it on Saturday and it showed up today
