Re: All new steez sv tw
I told myself 4 years ago these prices were getting out of control, assuming they wouldn't continue to jack the prices up anymore with every new release. This is seriously getting dumb. No wonder so many people are using Tats. And yeah, give us a flippin carbon handle already. And while you're at it...

Re: If You Could Have ONLY One Lure for the Rest of Your Life
I'd take... Plastic worms. If I had to narrow, I'd probably go with the OSP HD wacky or Raid Whip Crawler. I'd need terminal tackle for various rigging techniques. I feel confident that I can catch most anything in fresh water with a good ole wormy.

Re: 2024 Metanium DC
That's a bit of a bummer. I was really hoping it would be a little smaller than the 15.

Re: 2024 All new Posion Adrena
My pants just got a little tighter. Love JDM Shimano blanks. The open ended butt end is a little strange. Perfect for spiders and other little bugs I suppose. Radical taper . Is their new name for solid tip? Multi taper / power rods have peaked my interest.

Re: 2024 Releases/Rumors
That would be fantastic if this new Metanium DC has a smaller footprint than the 15 version.

Re: P5 ZCE versatility
Daiwa Heartland 6'10 medium. These rods were designed for multi application versatility. I use mine for a little bit of everything. If I'm beating the bank and can only bring one stick, this is the one. Not sure what your budget is, but the Evergreen Orion series are built for versatility as well. ...

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
Thanks, Hogsticker! To me, the UMBX flirts with GLX sensitivity and I'd be happy but not enthusiastic. What about Olympic? I looked but didn't see where they sold blanks, although I thought I heard they did. I have no idea. I know they manufacture blanks for quite a few companies including some Eve...

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
Thanks guys. Goldrod, I looked at Legit, but wanted a faster action. MikeK, thanks for bringing the MHX NEPS82HF to my attention - that's a great length! Are the MHK Elite Pro blanks on par with NRX sensitivity? I have an UMBX and have had others -very good blanks to build on, no doubt. Given that ...

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
It seems that given my desire to cut to 6'10", I really need to find a blank no longer than 7'1". Problematically, there's not an XRay, K2, Point Blank, or Rainshadow blank that fits the bill without a 5 or 6" cut that would potentially undermine the rod's performance. Are there any other blank lin...

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
I think the PB would be fine, especially with the versatility and extra fast tip section. My guess is that it can go lighter and likely fishes a little lighter than advertised. Seems to be the case with most of the blanks I've used. You could always call them and see what they say.

Re: Constructing a sub-7' enthusiast-level heavy pitching stick (tip-down frogging + bottom-contact sensitivity)
Thanks, Hogsticker! Do you think 6" is too much to trim off that 7'4" Rainshadow Eternity to get it down to 6'10". If not, the K2 7′3″ Heavy (1/2-2 oz) might be trimmed 5" to 6'10". How do the Rainshadow Eternity compare to the K2s? Does anyone know if there's a rule of thumb for the percentage tha...
