Did they upgrade the blank or just added the monocoque butt?
Likely just the grip, like they did with the Adrena.

The rod looks great and gotta be contender against Oltre, Daiwa RD, Evergreen, you name it. Wish they convert whole line up to those handles.

Does the Phenix Feather tickle in the right places?

I'm considering building a new rod on a Feather blank. How would rate and describe the production models.. Entirely in reference to the blanks? Is it crispy and alive - good or great in it's price bracket? How does it compare to the newest Phenix Recon? Lighter.. More sensitive? Is it closer to the ...

Re: Sunline Defier Armilo vs Sufix Advance?

I have fished the Defier Armilo for about two years in 13, 15, 19, 22 & 25lb tests. It's strength & abrasion resistance have been good. It's stiffness & coiling have been problematic as others have mentioned. The fact it has only been available in 165 yd spools adds to its costliness. I searched fo...

Re: Sunline Defier Armilo vs Sufix Advance?

Anyone compare both lines yet? I don't know about Suffix Advance. But I went through a spool of Defier Amilo a few years ago , a waist of 19.00 dollars I tried the 17lb. test , worse line I ever experienced. Stiff , worst as far as casting distance, and a lot of breakage. Some people like it , I ce...

Looks good on a millionaire
I like that. If it had a regular nut and retainer, I'd like it much more.

Re: Poison Adrena Rods

Technically speaking, these rods are what I consider a slow fast, but tilts more towards fast than moderate fast if that makes sense. They a somewhat stiffer JDM blank.
