what reel are we enhancing? some are fine/excellent as is. some need a little help.
i like stradic 2000's as they are. my cardinal 3's and 4's have been given bigger handles and metal spools.

if you like flinging flies, cabelas CGR fiberglass rods have many good reviews. i've got two of the 5 wts, a 7' and a 7' 6". rods look great. fit and finish is fine. i'd like to have a need for the 7' 6" 7-8 wt rod. since you're on tackle tour you realize there's a spot for all three major materials...

i managed to change spool bearings on a flea market chronarch 100 i got so cheap i bought another setup from the guy($10 or $15 for the 100a and a shimano crucial rod). i had some abec bearings i put in it. day and night difference! but a year later the performance has lessened. i think another bett...
