Re: How to store jerkbaits with out damaging them?

Check out the Plano FTO Elite Large Crankbait Organizer. If you can find them, the old Shimano boxes have a cult following. I find the MEDIUM Plano FTO Perfect!! The compartments are gently curved at the bottom and "nestle" the Jerkbaits well! Same here, Plano 3607 http://i.imgur.com/87oVu.jpg

Re: Hardbody Swimbait?

I bought some Spro BBZ-1 Jr to try out for pike. I had more follows with them than any other bait. I only had a chance to use them for 1 day before the river started to freeze, but I have faith in them and ordered some more. I've lobbed them with my 7' 6'' Abu Garcia Veritas casting rod thats rated ...

Re: Need suggestion for gloves

I tried the seirus gloves. The form fitting part is great. The waterproof part doesn't work, esp for the hand palming the reel where the water comes off the line. Now I use a thin pair of firm grip gloves with a pair of xl latex gloves over them. Wind and water proof and thin enough to thumb my bai...

Re: What got you into this?

To lazy to load ammo. The trap and skeet ranges are closed for the winter. I can't really ride my dirt bike in the snow. Playing hockey after work drains me, while fishing is pretty relaxing. I actually can't fish right now. The rivers are frozen but not thick enough to ice fish. I wished it would e...

Re: STEEL LEEDER COLOR

I target pike and have caught them on both black and silver steel leaders. I don't think they really care, at least from my experience. I am going to use a 80# fluorocarbon leader for my walleye rig since there are also a lot of pike in the same water. Gonna try the fluoro leader for pike and see ho...

Re: Third Gen. STX

I've got the STX-HS-L. I've just started fishing so the only other reel I've used the the Black Max. Casting with it's dual brakes is great. If I set it up properly, I can cast into the wind with no issues. It's when I leave the centrifugal brakes off and try casting into the wind that causes the bi...

Re: REVO shop question

Checking out my STX, if the drag star was straight, it would hit my handle. Here are schematics here where you can order the part. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/abu-garcia-baitcast-reel-parts-c-187196_194578.html Schematics from Abu Garcia to verify. It's #70 for an STX that I have. Not sure what...

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty

I am right handed but got to reel with the left hand side which is much more comfortable since you have to use your stronger arm to control the rod. A lot of people on here feel this way... I am one of them. But you don't reall need to explain that you are fight handed but reel lefty... heres why.....
