Re: Sustain FI opinions

i have three that are on st croix legend elites and they get a good workout through the season. Honestly it is a good stout reel and none of them have given me any problems and the drag is pretty good as well. When i bought them they did feel better than the stradic fk and more solid than the ci4 pl...

Re: Do You Have A Favorite Cheap Rod?

i bought a used fenwick techna av 7' med casting rod that i really like its just super comfortable to fish. i paid 100 for it and would definitely get another if i could find one in that condition it has the first gen guides that are all double footed up the rod.

Re: Daiwa BLX

it is labeled as a hvy which imo it is but not a very hvy rod in its own spec. i would say the rods sweet spot was 1/2 - 3/4. to me the daemos has more of a fast taper and is a little lighter in power than the blx. The blx in the 7'4 length is one of the limber graphite model rods as well so the bla...

Re: New Poison Adrena

honestly i would think in its 2 oz rating for swimbaits. I think it will be a better treble hook swimbait rod for the smaller wake baits and the 6' mag draft non freestyle. I think it would be fine for the dark sleepers as well it has the low end power that i wouldn't worry about not getting a good ...

Re: New Poison Adrena

got the 7'4 hvy today and took it for a little spin. honestly just seems like a good all rounder for versatility i can tell when the rod is loaded up it has a good parabolic powerful action but its not just a crank rod. i feel if you like more moderate rod you could throw some bottom contact on it l...

Re: Daiwa BLX

I ended up selling the 7'4 blx to another member not because i disliked the rod just wanted to fund another purchase. I really liked the rod a lot i put a tatula elite long cast on it and used it for larger walking baits and chatter baits. It shined very bright for those techniques. If your not a gl...

Re: How do you like your high $$$ round reel?

i had the new ryoga 1520 on a black jack for swimbaits that was my first high end round reel i was late to the party. Im more of a shimano guy so it was odd that i didnt get the conquest at the time but i took a chane and really liked the ryoga a lot super smooth and very manageable while casting.

Re: 6’10” st croix glass

the 7'4 is the all rounder in that line up it can handle a dt6 up to dt16 if it had to but i like it for dt10s the best, as well as lipless baits that are not getting used in thick grass. 7'2 medium is an awesome performer for smaller cranks i love throwing dt 6 and smaller balsa medium divers on th...

Re: New Poison Adrena

the taper is a true regular but the rod itself is not like a normal crankbait rod. when i say this i mean if you take your normal crankbait rod moderate fast and give the rod a shake you can feel the tip whipping about back and fourth and tell right off hand it has a softer moderate action. The adre...

Re: Expride 7'6H vs Megabass Valdivia

for that i would probably just do the expride because its going to get the job done with ease and i do prefer the expride reel seat over the destroyer(personal preference) , and for the fact that paddle tails will be the main fortay and not so much bottom contact i would just get the expride for the...

Re: New Poison Adrena

hey reason 162 i actually like it for jerkbaits ive thrown a vision 110 on it which is 1/2 but i feel like it could handle the 5/8 ok as well. i did throw the shower blow 105 with it and it was great it goes 9/16 oz which is a tad under 5/8. its rated to 3/4 but i personally would not throw 3/4 with...
