I would go Megabass, then Kistler, then St. Croix. Since versatility is key for you, I would probably go with the Helium 3. You can do a lot with that rod taper, and it is a nice stick.

I have been shipping rods across the United States for the last 10 years, and have never paid more than about $40 to ship a rod.
