Re: Mojo bass question

Crazy. All thing considered, I'd venture weight differential between those sticks to be quite insignificant. Don't know of handle characteristic but I also suspect quite insignificant. Just trying to help here, but sounds like you suffer from gorilla grip. Seriously, if your hand was literally brigh...

Re: single hooks on cranks

Hmm... The philosophy is sound; easier to sink a single point than multiple. Or at least it should be. I'm gonna have to get on this bandwagon and check it out. Interesting thread.

To Cal you listen...

I'll add it beneficial to snug winding on, not tight, and take care not to overfill the spool.

Re: Jdm Daiwa pe spinning reels?

PE design lays line in a wider crosshatch pattern thereby lessening dig and works very well. The difference is pronounced.

I believe it offers benefit sub freeze, high wind, or if I want to really take my time cinching down. Less is More.

Re: Marking gears during service

Mesh characteristic, be it due to random wear or manufacture discrpency, is in effect a weak spot. Putting back the same puts stress back the same, if a tooth is gonna fail this is where it likely happens. Rotating would redistribute the stress.

Of course… they’re predators too you know. Realize they’ll target smaller prey relative to body size and stick to shiners. Gold, Silver, Metallics and such often your best bet.

Re: Braid for deep diving cranks

I also switched. Thin diameter equates to less water lift, coupled with distance requirement to work properly, braid helps dredging deep. I’m getting an extra couple feet as result. Usually. But hookup can be tricky, I’ve had regrettable moments. Shock leader helps, though sacrifices some depth adva...

... and resale value. I'd venture most two bill options won't fetch much used on open market. I'm not going into tolerance, durability, performance, but fact is less high end options are available. Both now and later.

Re: Line capacity confusion (JDM steez)

Adam could be on to something, line diameter variation is ridiculous. But it could also be suggested fill application, designed to work best between 40 and 80. Who knows...? Just know both scenario and you know what you've got. Peace!

Re: Daiwa and T-Wings ...

I'm with written thus far, including negative, but side toward acceptance. Overall, after getting used to it, I like it. While I don't consider it must have, benefit to larger diameter is undeniable in my mind. To which, I consider 'larger' over true break 12 or 50 braid. That's my user threshold. A...

Re: Bearing test

Forgive me, I mean no offense, but what is the point? No bearing will get too hot to touch during normal usage and pushing that hard could lead to early failure. Of which, testing to point of failure proves little with respect to in use performance.

Or am I missing something?
