Re: tsi 321

I'm a big fan of it as well. I don't think I'd put another oil on top of it, rather, just add another drop off 321. TSI301 is the one that evaporates and leaves a film, 321 doesn't evaporate but it's really thin so it's hard to know when it's still there or has been spun off.

Re: Lower gear ratio for SS Air

I'm relatively certain that parts from an original Zillion will fit, but to be safe, call the guys at Tackle Trap and ask. They'll know for sure.

Re: Spinning Reel Drag tuning

Steel washers and carbontex will smooth that right out I would think. You can also use some great on them to lower their start up resistance. I use Cal's tan grease on mine.

Put the whole assembly in a big, clear plastic bag when removing and installing those clips.

Re: Removing cotter pin to change Magforce spring

I have a very work set of small needle nose pliers that I use for this. The teeth from the tip of the jaws are worn smooth so they don't scratch the and if the spool shaft.

Re: Pixy help

As far as I can remember, all of the threaded stars are a direct fit for the Type R.

Can anyone tell me what star drags fit a Pixy. Trying to find a lime green one and didn’t know if any of the slp ones will fit.
Some of the SLP drag stars will fit, but you have to buy the Pixy Type R driveshaft, the clicker assembly, and an SS SV style CCC to make it work.

Re: Steez 103 R+ spool

But as I have what my son calls "an embarrassment of TD-z reels", I still have a couple or three that I am still looking to upgrade. I am considering the RC series of ZPI and the Steez SV-103/105, which Brian at your shop says is a pretty good choice. I just picked up a RC 002. I'll be using it bet...

Re: GLX reel seats

I have an 852S and find the reel seat to be very comfortable. Now I haven't fished it for a day straight or anything like that, but I've put a few hours on it at a time and liked it.

It has nothing to do with being a chicken $hit [-( It takes time, effort, and dedication to hunt down these items, especially oversees when you need to overcome the language barrier. Re: Auction site gems

I wish I could insert the Grinch gif of him saying, "Eeeerrrr, yup." I couldn't believe it when I saw it, plus I also found another reel that has a bunch parts that I've been looking for. So now I have 3 coming my way, but two are getting sent back out once I do a little parts swapping. Lucky devil...
