Anyone know more about these rods? Weight/models/release date?
Im wondering if they will be any lighter than the recons...or are just recons with less materials.

Re: Phenix Recon 764 vs 766 BIG difference in power?
3/4 with a hefty full sized trailer.webertime wrote:A 3/8oz swimjig with a trailer will weigh close to an ounce. 766 will throw that.
And Ive tried it....it doesnt cast well at all and is hard to maintain contact with lure. 6 power rods arent made for that presentation

Ive punched with rods rated to 1oz before.
You will struggle casting and feeling the swimjig on the 766. Ive done it before in a pinch and it was terrible. Its a very technique specific rod. I use mine for punching, frogging, umbrellas and swimbaits.

Re: Differences between the various Revenge spinnerbaits
The deep runner has slightly thinner wire, slightly smaller blades, and elongated lead down hook shaft.
The reduction in water resistance helps get it deeper....makes them excellent burner spinnerbaits and the 1/4oz is a nice snack size for bass!

Re: Phenix Recon 764 vs 766 BIG difference in power?
Id imagine so. Phenix rods have definite differences in power and my 766 is a beast of a rod. I dont have lure ratings in front of me but Im sure the 4 power is probably an ounce lower than my 766 at 2 oz max.

Re: Spro premium john
I have entire lineup. I like baby fat john more than fst john. Has a nice wiggle. Both fat johns are great in wood and float whereas lil johns suspend(ish). Makes it easier to work fast through timber and back the fat john out of snags.

Re: SX1 vs TX1 / FX2 vs BX2
Different in that it has a coating. Not a fan of their large diameters and onky having 4 carrier braids. They also bleed a lot.

The tx and bx are just sx and fx with coatings.
I love sunline but their braid lineup is terrible
