Re: Megabass new 3 piece travel rods

The Triza F0-63XTZ is very nice. It has a nice medium action and handles lures a bit heavier than its rating. It is pretty too :-)

Re: Is the Steez SV TW currently the best low profile bass reel on the market?

To say something is best without setting a parameter is a dangerous proposition, but to suggest that sales equate to what is best is simply misguided. That train of thought would lead you to believe a Corolla is better car than a Tesla S, or a Ferarri for that matter. Heck you prolly think Mcdonald...

There are these as well. Don't know who makes them. 8.23g for the 34mm platform.

Re: How many rods/reels do you actually use

I fish for many different species in fresh and salt. Still, most of fishing - 90% or more - is in streams for searun brown trout (or salmon). I have more than seventy rods (recently counted and a few added since then) plus a similar number of reels. When going for trout, I only bring one setup. At ...

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?

I love my Daiwas and the spool options.

The Steez logo, however, total lack of style, ugliest and trashiest thing ever... Unfathomable.

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

I have two of the Roro 34mm spools. I got them when the spools were briefly for sale some months ago. They perform great - for lightweight lures I actually find that they are better than ktf/zpf being so shallow and low weight. If you go with heavier lures, eg 5 gram, the casting distance is top not...

Re: BFS Travel Rods?

It is a megabass monoblock grigio stone with ZPI NRC001M spool. My “only” megabass rod and reel so far. I never really saw the need for megabass reels with the great “baseline” offerings from Daiwa (and Shimano, Abu etc). However, I really like round reels and just had to try one out. Price/performa...

Re: Daiwa millionaire 70

I have written a few words about the reel in other threads. Basically it is a good looking and smooth reel but price/performance wise I would consider many other reels before the Millionaire CT SV - eg Zillion SV, Alphas SV, Metanium MGL, Aldebaran MGL.

I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but what does this spool weigh? Also, what is going on the the bearing/bearing houseing? Never seen one like that on a Daiwa spool.

Re: Rods/reels you regret not buying

Megabass Great Hunting Trout Travel Baitcast rod was insanely cheap on Amazon.co.jo a year or so ago - I should have jumped the wagon.
