Lew Childre BB1N and BB1NG worth

I was able to acquire a few of these reels. Two BB1N and two BB1NG that were made by Ryobi. These were before Browning and Quantum owned them...right after Lew Childre pulled production from Shimano to Ryobi in Japan. These models do not have the disengaging button on top and are in pretty decent sh...

Re: Daiwa Luvias vs. Certate

Very durable. I did have my wedding ring smudge some of the paint at the reel stem but that is just how I hold the reels. The stem of the reel sites between my middle and ring finger so metal on painted Zaion leads to some scratches. Hope this helps!

Shimano Chronarch 100A, SF, MG turnkey question

Is the "Shimano" emblem supposed to be sitting upright when fully locked on the turnkey part of the palming side plate? If it is upside down when fully closed, how easy is it fix? Could it have just been installed upside down from the factory? Is it can easy fix to correct? Thanks for any/all help a...

Re: Daiwa Luvias vs. Certate

The Luvias are great reels. I have two 3012H's and one 2508. They are almost as smooth as my Exist reels. If you didn't have both, you'd be hard pressed to tell. And the drag is butter smooth!

Re: Tatula SV vs. Zillion SV

Where are these SV103 right handers lurking??? Lefted handed fisherman searching for a right handed reel (as always) here... Would love to see if they could bring back the original Zillion frame and update it fully... I would still be fine with the Steez A/Tatula 100 style variant Zillion 100. Same...

Re: Tatula SV vs. Zillion SV

All I wanna know is where were all you SV103 groupies when I was selling mine a few months ago - Had 5 or 5 LH mint with bearing and LW upgrades etc and I had to practically give them away  If they were RH, I am sure I would have been interested. I love that frame. Aside from the SV103s, I hav...

Re: Tatula SV vs. Zillion SV

Does this mean that a new Zillion may be in the mix since prices seem to be dropping on the current model?

I really want one of the 9.1's for my skipping rod. That'll probably be the next thing.
My buddy I believe still has 3 of the 9s that he is looking to sell for a very good price.

Re: Tatula SV vs. Zillion SV

How does the paint hold up on the Zillion? I thought I heard it wasn't that great. Maybe that was another model though.

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

Precisely why many of us stock up on older models (TD-Z, OG Fuego, Zillion, SV103) to simply have parts galore to enhance reels without the markup of the "latest and greatest."
