Re: Who is using BFS casting gear for trout/panfish

Mountain/Area Bait Finesse thread, excellent idea. I have a feeling this will be very poisonous to some! Reels and spools- The important stuff Revo LTZ Aldebaran BFS with KTF spool KTF Aldebaran BFS Rods- Too many to remember, length vary from 3'9" to 6'6" LIne- 8lb gliss/braid to 2lb mono Wish list...

The Poco Poco is a great bait! In fact the entire DUO Tetra Works line is simply amazing!

Can this rod throw 1-2 grams easily?

Sweet! It is a fun stick to throw. I've fished mine almost exclusively the last few months .

Re: What is your finesse casting rod?

A good rod for your test might be a UL featherlight. It's 4'10" and will cast a light cranks easily and is $20 or less. It's glass and very forgiving for landing fish in tight spots. Only downside is it runs heavy but nothing unmanageable.

Re: What is your finesse casting rod?

I would any insight, suggestions, or criticisms. I would be cautious fishing a Teton, any UL-L trout rod, or Ajing rod from a kayak. It will be difficult to land fish from kayak without snapping rod. The Teton 662L snaps much easier than the UL ones though so maybe the 6ft UL Trout would be somethi...

Trout season at the local put and take lakes started recently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RcYIjkmusQ 20161117_160823-01 1.jpg 20161117_163848-01.jpg Wow that's a deep trout. How'd the little Teton handle it? That trout came from heavy structure and the UL bullied it in. These rods have tremen...

Re: Ultralight BFS rod vs Trout rod Comparison

I am normally a Major Craft guy but look into the Kuying Teton Trout rod 662. They make both a spinning and casting version, I purchase both together on Alien for 115.00 shipped for the pair. These are deceptively high quality rods that fish better than many of the high dollar versions and there is...

Re: Ultralight BFS rod vs Trout rod Comparison

Great info, thanks! Was the trout magnet on their 1/64th or 1/32nd jig head? Also, what's your reasoning or opinion on all magnets in? I've played around with the additional magnets in and out for same lure range you're using and honestly I can tell little difference. I'm leaning towards leaving the...
