I think I'm going to try the major craft like you mentioned. They have several models, can you recommend one?

Thanks!

Re: Shimano Zodias 2 piece casting rods......Info please!

I'm in the same boat. Looking for a 2 piece BFS rod. The Zodias splits in the middle as do most shorter 2 piece Jdm rods. I believe the Zodias has more Usdm traditional powers and tapers, so for an all around I'd probably opt for the medium. Here's a short list of alternatives. Megabass Hyuga Abu G...

Shimano Zodias 2 piece casting rods......Info please!

Hey guys, I'm looking for a quality 2 piece rod and came across the Shimano Zodias. From what I see, they only sell them out of Japan, the 2 piece that is. I'm just looking for some info on the rod. Is the medium or medium heavy more of an all around rod? Does it split in two at the handle or is it ...

Re: Hammer Rods FLW Review

Does the 6'9" heavy have a mod fast tip like the medium heavy or a fast tip?

Thanks,

I second this, I have a few of these and they flat out get bit over everything else I have.

Re: mrpao : Feedback Request Topic

Just bought a Shimano Chronarch MGL XG from mrpao. The item was new as described. Communication was great. He provided tracking numbers for the package and the reel was packed securely! Don't hesitate to deal with mrpao and I hope to buy from him again!

Shimano Scorpion xt 1000 7.7 to 1 gear upgrade

Hey guys, I want to do this upgrade and buy the brenious gears from japan tackle. Those who have done this upgrade, where did you get your key washer and drag washers? I'm assuming if you put bigger gears in the reel that you need to have a bigger key washer and drag washers. Any information would b...

Re: Shimano Metanium 100HG MGL or Aldebaran 50HG

Okay, I guess I need to put this thing to use then. I guess it's better than being to loose and the dial moving when I don't want it to. Thanks again for all the input and help guys, I really appreciate it!

Re: Shimano Metanium 100HG MGL or Aldebaran 50HG

Thanks for all the input guys, decided on the aldebaran and I think I made the right choice. I do find it hard to turn the exterior brake Dial, but only when I turn the Dial from six to one. When I turn the Dial to apply more braking it turns very hard, anyone else have this?

Shimano Metanium 100HG MGL or Aldebaran 50HG

Hey guys, I have the opportunity to buy one of these reels. I understand that one is more of a finesse reel and about line capacity and weight of each. However, their are differences in the brakes, how the sideplate opens, and I'm sure how it palms. I just would like some personal ownwership feedbac...

I have a few of these, but I think I bought then in a 3 pack. I don't remember paying that much for them.
