Re: What is your preferred reel cover

Okuma makes a nice casting reel cover that is less that $4 and it protects the drag star. Goes on and off nice and easy too. TW had them but I don't see them now. Its model ARS-BC http://www.fishusa.com/product/Okuma-Reel-Shield-Neoprene-Reel-Covers Shimano and Daiwa Japan have better covers that p...

Curado 101B compatibility question

I'm looking to replace the star drag and brake cap on my curado 101B to something metal vs the stock plastic. I've found items on hedgehog that i'm pretty sure will be compatible, but trying to confirm. As i understand the curado 101B is compatible with the curado 100d, chronarch 50mg and scorpion 1...

NRX 852c

For those who have the NRX 852c, what do you primarily use the rod for? Which line and reel are you using with it?
I already have one, just looking for some feedback on what people are using it for!

Re: Where are the shimanos?

Sweet MGL... Ive been on a cork kick lately myself. Sadly these Daiwa Corks are covered with a plastic that kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me. But they do look trick. http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac182/bangsatbrothers/Image2_zpshhrjjdmo.jpg nice setup, but i agree 100% that the plasti...

Re: Dobyns DX 702c

I haven't used the 702C but I have used the DX742C (prior to HP series). Started with 12lb mono as the mainline for 5" weightless senkos texas (weedless) hooked. Rod loaded really well when casting. I was really able to bomb it out there. The problem was I wasn't consistently getting a good hookup....

Dobyns DX 702c

anyone using the Dobyns DX HP 702c for weightless senkos/flukes?  i'd be using 15 or 20lb braid with it and i'm wondering if anyone uses the 2 power for weightless plastics and what your thoughts are on them.

thanks in advance!

Re: Freshwater use of large spinning reels

it'll work just fine for freshwater. that's about the size of preference for me if catfishing. can spool it up with heavier line and can handle more capacity for said line.
