Re: Appreciating all of the Curves, Edges, Perfect Imperfections of Shimano's 2021 Conquest
I know this is a bit late, but I got confused reading this review. Everything was great as always, but I am confused by the 13+1 bearing count... Where is the 14th bearing at? I know this much: 2 per knob (4 total), 2 main shaft, 2 pinion, 2 spool, 2 levelwind, and one roller bearing. That is 13 an...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
Is your Proflex 2 the UL or Light??? I have the UL and it is soft, but still much more of a fast action. Wish I had bought the Light version, sometimes the UL feels way to overwhelmed by moderate sized fish and lures. Mine is the UL. The solid tip is pretty soft but the blank fastens up pretty quic...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
I've been back and forth about this series of rods forever, but never found any feedback on them. Let us know what you think. My other BFS rod is the Tsurinoya Proflex II so I can only compare it to that. The build quality of the rod is definitely good and better than that of the Proflex II. The ro...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
I just picked up a pretty nice budget JDM BFS rod. Daiwa Bass X 682LB. Not much info on here about it but for the price I couldn't pass it up. I paired it with an Alphas SV with DIY spool.

Re: TD-Z, Steez (103 or 100), SS SV 34mm spool bearing size?
A 5x11x4 bearing won't fit on the SS SV spool. The spool shaft is 3mm on SV spools. A 3x10x4 bearing is a very common size so there shouldn't be any issues finding a new or upgraded one. Only performance I can see that you can gain from using a 5x11x4 vs a 3x10x4 bearing is throwing heavier lures. T...

Re: Daiwa Catalina TW 100 Spool
OG Zillion won't work. Yes it is 36mm but too narrow.
These spools should work and have more line capacity.
Zillion 1516
Zillion TWS
Ryoga 1520
Zillion HD 1520

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
Is Daiwa still offering Lifetime warranty on these new AGS rods? Really on the fence between this and the new NRX+ 7'6 spinning models. Thanks!

Re: Anyone use Megabass Orochi Destruction 70
I pair my Destruction 70 with a Ryoga 1520HL. It's a great moving bait rod in that 1-2oz range. It can also be used for heavier bottom contact in a pinch. I tried frogging with it and the handle length is a little longer than I prefer. Great build quality, which is typical Megabass. All guides are a...

Re: Daiwa spool sizes.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong - OG Zillion platform and TD-Z 100m - 36 mm Steez, Tdz (except 100m), T3, SS SV, SV103 - 34 mm Alphas platforms - 33 mm SS Air, Alphas Air, T3 Air - 32 mm Pixy platforms - 31 mm I feel something is not right. I'm sure someone will catch it. Just added the 100m to th...

Re: 2021 Shimano Reels
The translation of Infinity Drive from Shimano Japan seems to suggest the loss of an Xship bearing. I don't think that's the case. The 19 Ocea Jigger also has Infinity Drive and if you look at the schematics, the Xship bearing is still there. Infinity Drive seems to be a pinion design to get extra s...

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000
Just received the new Zillion and noticed there's no pawl cap. Seems like a new design? Unfortunately the schematics weren't included so I can't verify. For those of you who have the new Zillion, is yours like this also? Just wanted to confirm before I contact the seller. Thanks! https://i.imgur.co...

Re: The Rounders Heavy Metal Club
Took the Ryoga 1520HL paired with an Orochi XXX Destruction 70 out this weekend and tied on a swimjig. Didn't catch anything, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. https://i.imgur.com/bAy1l9m.jpg?1 Beautiful setup. I am thinking about picking up the exact same set up for throwing the Magdraft. Mainly t...
