Re: Daiwa SV103

I don't think the SV103 is offered in Japan. Even though it's made in Japan, it is a USDM reel.

Re: Line guide replacement for Daiwa Alphas SV SHL

I personally like the red line guide. I added a red CCC and knob caps to match.

Re: Daiwa Zillion SV TW or Daiwa Morethan PE SV?

+1 for the Zillion SV TW

I've thrown a 1/8oz Rat-L-Trap a pretty good distance on 8lb line.

Good call. An XX PP would be sweet. I'll keep my eyes out on the classifieds.

Re: SLPW Spool Bearing Remover II

I went ahead and ordered one. I like it much better than the Hedgehog Type R. I still get some scratches with the Hedgehog. The way the SLPW sits over the spool, it is virtually impossible to get a scratch. It even comes with an extra block! http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e24/Tony9982/6661fb30-62...

Re: Frog/Pitch Rod

Thanks for the responses. I think I will go with the Zodias 75H. I've handled the Zodias 610ML and it is a quality rod, I don't doubt that the 75H will disappoint. Locating one is kind of tough, as I believe the 75H was just released at this year's classic.

SLPW Spool Bearing Remover II

Anybody try this new revision yet? Seemed like it just got released in March.

I must have overlooked the 75H when I was going through the lineup. How does it load and cast around 1/2oz frogs?

Frog/Pitch Rod

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new rod to handle frog, pitching, and probably some small swimbait duties. Budget is $200 or less, length 7'2" - 7'6". The reel is going to be the SV103 XSL with 50lb braid. Been doing some research the last few weeks...Just looking for any feedback regarding balance/feel...

Fishing Industry Tackle Sales

Just curious if anybody knows if companies like Shimano, Daiwa, Abu Garcia, Shakespeare etc. post their yearly sales revenue? It'd be interesting to know who's number 1.

Driveshaft bearing upgrade on Daiwa Luna 103L

I've been doing some research on TT about the driveshaft bearing upgrade for my Luna 103L. From what I gather, I will need a shorter gear shaft collar (Part # G01-1401). Does anybody know what size bearing I will need? One post mentions a 8x14x3.5mm bearing. Another post mentions needing a bearing w...
