So now what do you think TW or CT TW??? Which of the generations is in the lead??? If I start my collection I think the A/SV TW will be my starting point, followed by the CT if I start to see more reviews concerning it...
I second that question! :)

Re: Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

How does the reel perform for 1/8oz lures? I am wondering if the reel would make sense on my 852NRX and 8-10 pound line.

Thanks.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Thats an apples to oranges comparison. Centri-braking profiles and mag-braking profiles are completely different, even with the same line. The weight of a full spool will affect both, but the comparison soley on weight wont give you an accurate snapshot of overall performance with any specific weig...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

Hi guys,
does anybody have the chance to weigh the spool (preferably spooled with 10 pound Fluro)? I want to compare it to my MGExtreme2's to see which would work better for 1/8oz lures.

Thanks! :)

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

I am getting excited! Would you recommend the reel for 1/8 - 1/4 oz lures with 9- 10 pound fluro on the NRX 852c? Since I am a bankfisheeman for the most part, I need the a ility to get some distance in my casts and would still prefer to have some line left on the spool in case the frsh water tuna ...

Re: 2019 Skipping Preference

My take: When skipping lighter lures (1/2oz and below) I prefer Daiwa's SV breaking system (my Steez SV TW in particular shines here). For heavier lures and frogs my 2018 Antares DC MD does a decent job. To be fair though, I have also been successful skipping a jig with my Curado K (that is otherwis...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

For those of you that have the Morethan PE 1000 TW in the 8.6 version... How do you think it handle double duty with Frogs and Paddle Tails (1/2 - 3/4 oz + 5" body). I'm kicking around purchasing a new toy.. No concerns at all! Maybe put 40-50 pound braid on the spool with a fluro leader (when you ...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

As a finesse reel the reel is VERY tempting. I can understand the capacity concerns if you want to throw more normal sized bass baits though. I could definitely see capacity becoming a concern then. No capacity problems for me. It will hold 100 yds of 30# braid if I need it to, though I only filled...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

TW says that the reel can hold 100 yards of 10 pound line . Does that seem to be accurate? Any thoughts? That's tackle warehouse propaganda, designed to hoodwink the american buyer who still believes more line=more better. 100 yards generally bieng the lowest threshold. The 100/10 contention doesnt...

Wondering if the Steez would be the better option for 1/8 - 1/4oz lures. The Abu's spool holds just soo muc...

Re: Jig/Frog Rod for Bank Fishing

+1 for the H3!

I had the 7' heavy. Super light and very sensitive for the price. There are regular sales on the Kistler rods, so you should get it for even less.

Sold it though because I wanted a longer rod. I have Steez XBD Frog rod for myJig fishing now. Found it used in mint state for 270 USD.

Re: Daiwa Coastal

I have the Daiwa Coastal TW.

Great reel for the money! Sturdy, holds enough line and casts well! I have been using it as my frog reel for 2 years until I switched to become my Saltwater- jerkbait reel. Has been holding up well.

You can find them on ebay for 140 USD.
