Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

My 2 cents first impression as a pure consumer of tackle with no technical expertise in reels for what that’s worth. What a sweet reel! I like it better than the new limited steez head to head. Feels better in my hands. The size is just right and there’s just something about the solid feel of alumin...

Re: Megabass P5 Decision

So which models would you pick and why? I usually find that longer rods play a more versatile role in my arsenal and the shorter rods I get end up a bit more specialized. That’s no rule; just personal fishing style perhaps. I think that with the z crank and cyclone, you’ll get the types of applicat...

Re: Megabass P5 Decision

ZCrank and Cyclone are both listed as mediums and the only different I can see if the length. Still wondering If you were to pick one for all around which would it be? Same question for the madbull and Blade, if you could only have one for all around which would it be? In the megabass lexicon an F3...

I know. Jun is always very conscientious with such matters so that’s why I’m wondering about it.
Does Daiwa make a habit of putting ‘Made in Japan’ on reels that ultimately aren’t? I’m not being a jackass, I’m genuinely curious.
No.

Re: New Steez A TW HLC

That’s cool. Took a few or so years, but Daiwa decided to do something about that spool in a steez A. The spool is 36 mm and it’s a magforce Z break with the boost design. The casting video they posted on IG suggests it will bomb casts. Sounds really nice! Can you give a link to video? I’m not sure...

I’m simply saying his opinions/conclusions while he does it are of no interest to me. Watch it on mute  :D Yeah man; good advice. Since I discovered these the other day, I think they might also serve me as good maintenance tutorials and to learn about the necessary tools. His camera angle set ...

Re: Steez ltd sv tw

Nonetheless, the “new data” was a second hand account of a one sided story from some anonymous source who did who knows what with that poor reel. Lmao the guy sent him the reel and he tore it down on camera explaining every step of the way. This was after the guy sent the reel to Visser and got it ...

Re: Steez ltd sv tw

I went on to watch another one of his videos where he bashed Visser reel company. He certainly does not give an eff, as he advertises, but it seems more like a shtick than something completely unbiased. Nonetheless; dude knows how to disassemble a reel. Did you watch the previous Visser video where...

Re: Steez ltd sv tw

Not exactly sure what’s good about the video, all i hear is “maybe, i don’t know, i guess”, hence his first impressions without any concrete facts. Dude knocks the reel without even taking it out on the water, throws nothing but shade, and the spool which he probably bent on the table lol, i digres...

Re: So how are SV BOOST spools?

Did anyone notice any differences with the main gear teeth or other? Nothing is different, even the same part numbers. Turns out "hyper" is all hype. A friend sent me a different Japanese YouTube video comparing the main gear teeth. One appears more U shaped, and the other more V shaped. It's hard ...

For what it's worth.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nDRDvoFHl8 Good video; thanks for posting. He certainly makes breaking down reels look easy. I’m all thumbs; on the floor on my knees with a flashlight looking for springs...For what it’s worth, feels like the sv tw with an easier casting spool...

Re: Steez ltd sv tw

That's the million dollar question right? Looks great of it holds up and does it even have a black t-wing? No. This finish will not hold unless it’s kept in the box. That’s certain. Yes; the t-wing is black. How do you know that the finish won't hold up? Took it out of the box. Admired it. Spooled ...

Re: Steez ltd sv tw

Seems to check all the boxes so far. Will report back after some use. Nice! Does the finish seem durable - will it hold up do you think? That's the million dollar question right?
