I was laughing at Shimano for naming every part of their reel as a feature, but now Daiwa does it as well. I would expect a noname chinese reel to do something of the sort, not Daiwa.

I use the Shimano DG04. Sticks well.

Between the two i'd go with the curado. But a Z2020 over both any day.

Tier 1- Shimano/Daiwa/Megabass
Tier 2- Abu
Tier 3- Quantum/13fishing/Lews/Okuma/Plueger when they made proper reels
Tier 4 - The OOF tier: KastKing, ZPI Alcance, Favorite, Pischifun, Ardent

Try to remove the side plate, fit the inductor side of the spool into the side plate and try to turn the braking dial. I've never had nor heard of a dial not turning because of a spool. You should take a pic or two of the inductor.
