Re: Steez ltd sv tw

Looks pretty bland tbh. And this is most likely more weak paint that flakes after 2 days on the water.

Re: Kistler Reels

When i see a $250 price tag on a reel and its not from Megabass, Daiwa or Shimano, i  Why? Because $250 is expensive, and for that amount, you can get yourself a reel from a company that is experienced in making their own fishing reels for decades. This doesn't just apply to Kistler, but the ...

Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

Hmm. I just reread the Rays long cast review with the adjustable fixed mag brake. I was planning on putting that in my TDZ lefty pitching reel, but based on that thread the spool will be uncontrollable in it. I'd like to put the Roro shallow BFS spool in the IS because it is also ultra fast and the...

Re: Alphas/pixy spool options

I use my i'ze finesse special down to 1.8g with 8lb jbraid. It can handle way under 3/8oz easily. Wish they made these spools in a ported version. They'd be killer. Thanks for your experience with the spool. I guess I'm looking more for how much weight it can handle on the upper end. I've thrown so...

Re: Need a brass gear set for the Met DC

I don't get the but where the curado k isnt true MM. Its main gear works with the met mgl pinion. So the met isnt true MM anyway? I thought of that as well, but always hear the "antares/conquest has the tier 3 micro gears. aldebaran/metanium tier 2 and the rest is tier 1, the worse of the bunch". I...

Re: Need a brass gear set for the Met DC

Someone enlight me, why the curado k pinion doesnt fit on metanium.TIA He doesn't want the K gear set. He wants the true MM gears. Its not that i don't want it. I am sure the the inferior gears in brass are still smoother under load. But i'll be ordering from PLAT, and they don't have curado k part...

Re: Need a brass gear set for the Met DC

Yea i've read this on the older forum threads, but i am looking at higher end gears, if there's any that are compatible with the Met DC. Has anyone tried the Chronarch ci4 or chronarch mgl gears inside the Metanium DC? I really don't want to order these buzzing aluminium gears from the met dc again...
