Re: Steez Racing Design 701MH / HXB-ST

I had to do it. Just got my 701MH/HXB-ST. Even though this is my 5th RD it's impressive. Definitely has some added sensitivity compared to the other 7' models and even compared to the 641 SMT although different feeling. It is slightly more clear than the others almost like they turned the bass down...

That white falcon I bought for some bigger cranks. Is it sufficient for smaller ones too?
I'm pretty sure Dom and possibly RISE are two members who currently have the rod. I don't, I've been waiting for a cherry Cristobal to show it's face..

Re: 19' Steez Ct vs 20' Steez CT

My source shows the new 2020 Steez CT 7.1 at the same price as the 2 ratios from 2019. You might be speaking of the Steez CT Air, which is a whole new real, it is more expensive.

Re: drop shot plastic for bedding smallmouth

Watch out on the TW order, they only have the one color in stock. You really want the 2.8, the 3.8 is much bigger. I get mine from Japan, so not sure where else they would be in stock in the US. That bait in particular does well with a nose hook, the Texas will work, but it takes away action and you...

Re: drop shot plastic for bedding smallmouth

Looking for something compact in size. Have some 3.5 Reins bubbling shakers and 2.8 fat impacts im taking with me. What else would you...

Re: Question about the Efreet

I think your splitting hairs, your not going to miss a bite on any of them. I would say that on paper the RD should be the most sensitive, the new Ultima has the coolest handle and probobly gives the RD a run for the money, the Efreet is the bargin of the bunch while still treading water with the be...

Anybody pull the trigger on these and can post a review with some pics of balance?
I was ready to pull the trigger on one or two, then decided to send my daughters $500 each instead, as their income has been effected by the Wuhan Virus. A much more rewarding expendeture. I'll get one eventually!

Re: Question about the Efreet

Well..the sale of the Efreet never went through and I am really glad it didn't. I've come to love that rod. Before the attemted sale, I really never got a chance to put the rod through it's paces. I had the Red Galaxy on it and just couldn't bring myself to use that reel often as it was just too pre...

Yeah..Let's keep the politics out of it. Go to Politico or Breitbart and express yourself. (although I must say this is a more cognisant conversation than thier comment section) I already think lessor of people now and I only wanted that to be based on their bad opinion pertaining to tackle. I even...

(10) 2020 Shimano Metanium XG's
hmm...too frugal to spring for the Antares AR's..
The other answer would be that line capacity sucks on the Antares....
According to the Shimano Jp website, they both have 34mm x 19mm spools....maybe the Met USA version is different, but I doubt it.
