Re: Tsurinoya Rods and Reels

I have the Dexterity, ProFlex 2, and the Dragon. For me honestly I like the Dragon the best the Dexterity 2nd and I don't like the ProFlex at all but some people love it. the ProFlexs tip is super fast and super thin and I just don't like the balance between the backbone and the tip. The Dragon has ...

I was looking rough that cold morning but it was all worth it when this girl hit my Jerkbait https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/kE34iIEmw2xAmdpIVZ92xvMmBHUAvo9_YhTvpzbLrTjxvOHchoOqRYdIB8tmgywzRvelS0vEbrNVjmHB_k7dr8WWEhuaX3Bm3Pfn6bkb9Ym8N_k9BO3IbmZAGj4ucnoPwPzrQ1CocI7YNZETPQCKIur5DsROdaIzjiZ_TAAOm89_O...

Re: BFS Tsurinoya Dragon rod

I ended up getting this rod and the Dragon is very nice with a moderate to fast action and as much backbone as you would expect with a UL rod. I like the Kuying Teton series but their shorter rods are noddles.

That’s how I feel, the reel is nice and the drag feels smooth but I know my SS Air has more drag and that’s unacceptable to me.

Daiwa 14 SS SV 103SHL Weak Drag

I just purchased and received a Daiwa 14 SS SV 103SHL new from a Japanese seller on Amazon. The reel is nice and I like it a lot but the drag is so weak. My Shimano BFS reels have stronger drag. It doesn’t seam to start tightening up until the very last bit of adjustment, is this normal and if so ho...

Re: St Croix Mojo Inshore for BFS fishing

Thanks to everyone for your replies, I guess only time will tell when I get these rods how they will perform for me. No matter what I fish all water and all fish so I figure out some place for these rods

Re: lines for bfs setups

is that the Teton 552SUL? Is it a bass or trout taper? I have the Teton 662L and it is a mod-fast taper. I have that rod to and its a noodle no doubt but it will sling anything no matter how light. This rod loads with the weight of the rod alone so if your spool is light enough this thing will slin...

St Croix Mojo Inshore for BFS fishing

I just ordered the 7' L moderate action and 7' ML Moderate action Mojo Inshore rods to use for Bait Finesse fishing, does anyone have any experiences with these rods ? I know St Croix is on the light side when it comes to power and action so I thought this might be a good rod for making long cast wi...

Re: SS Air or 16 Aldebaran BFS

I have the Alphas the SS and Aldebaran BFS, they are all fine reels but the Daiwa's cast and retrieve much quieter and smoother for the most part. The Aldebaran will cast further with 3g and above because Daiwa's Air brakes are over braked and hold them back but for the light stuff under 2.5G I thin...

Re: lines for bfs setups

Decided to try out suffix nanobraid 2 lb. line is thin! That's some small line .04mm, it may find itself wrapped around the spool shaft easily but should also cast crazy far as well. That was my first thought, I wonder if the tolerances are better/worse on that aftermarket spool (assuming Avail)???...
