Re: TD-X,S... enhancing performance?

They are a nice reel and perform well, especially the supertuned version. However, a new spool, carbon handle, drag upgrade and bearings will set you back at least $200 i...

Re: TD-X,S... enhancing performance?
I was looking at purchasing a Daiwa TD-X or S... or maybe two of them. I would be interested in enhancing the performance on them, so what would be the best thing to do. Should I upgrade the spool, bearings, ect. If I get new bearings, should I get Abec5's (cheaper than 7's). How about the spool, s...

Re: which pixy do you like best?
Magnesium can not be anodized. The yellow's paint scratches very easy for some reason. I believe there is a problem with the paint it seems soft. Even the area where my thumb goes has worn pretty badly.[/quote Ummmm...yes it can and it is on the red Pixy. The yellow "for some reason" scratches easi...

Re: FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN!!!
Especially Montana. We have a sister yard over in Missoula and those poor boys have been choking all summer. Fortunately the fire here was short lived. ;) Check this out. We've been on a burn ban all summer which has made camping a real bummer. We haven't had(just guessing) an 1" of rain all summer....

Re: Megabass Brigandage
Tonym, Reelblues, could either (or both) of you give your definition of "balance"? What is the relation with the balance point given in the TT rod evaluations :?: The balance point on the Hatchet(which is the only MB I have experience with)matched with a Daiwa Tierra was right 1" from the reel stem...
