Re: 7.9:1 Gear

i wish there was some way to get the air beam seats. i'd love to be able to have a few customs built with'em
Yes, they are comfortable. Daiwa really knows how to make a comfortable seat.

Re: Daiwa reels - gaudy or sexy?

i got back into fishing in the 90's when tdz's & chronarchs were the hot items. all this flat black drives me crazy!

i'm actually not using any daiwa's or shimanos in casters these days. i really like the bps johnny morris platinum reels. talk about being a little too blingy

Re: Any new additions to tatula elite rods at 2019 ICAST?

those 7'2 mh rods have the same lure & line rating as the old steez flexlites. i have 1 of those rods. it's a fairly stiff rod in the original steez lineup. most crank or moving bait rods tend to be lighter in power than fast action rods to me. seems like a mh crank rod and a m fast rod seem to be s...

Re: Aluminum v. Fiberglass

i'm sure the reason people are buying bigger tin rigs is due to the prices of glass boats, as well as fuel costs. i would love to own a vexus 1980, but it's just not financially possible for me right now, plus the tracker 175 i currently have is really as big of a boat as i need for my area. the onl...

Re: fluorocarbon line shootout

I would to see break strength tests with different terminal knots. Like the palomar and san deigo jam knot i was thinking about this the other day, and can't remember the last time i have broke off. it used to happen a lot, but i started inserting the tungsten i use, plus started using what i think...

Re: Store brand rods and reels

i pretty much stick to name brand rods (mostly daiwa), but with reels i use bps exclusively. years ago i was all daiwa & shimano, but i bought 1 of the old gold carbonlites when they were new, and actually preferred it to the og steez. don't get me wrong, the steez was a very comfortable reel to fis...

Re: another "what's next for daiwa?" thread

I see that Daiwa Australia has started to import some of the newer Steez compile x line ... maybe USA will do the same like the Strike Force and the long awaited Harrier Finesse to mate up with the New Steez CT SV. i've seen some listings on ebay from them. i got a used ags 7'1 mh, and i don't real...
