Re: 2021 steez ags rods
I am a little surprised to see that the overall sentiment is that the 7'6MML is the most versatile of the bunch. Normally a rod with that length would be highly specialized. I will also say seeing everyone hyping it up online makes it really hard not to pick one up. Good thing they are pretty much ...

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
I have two of the spinners. The 7-6 ML/M and the 7'-1 M. For jerkbaits go with the M F. For dropshot 7-1 ML. Versatility and also dropshot go with the 7-6. I think the M F is a powerful Medium. It does resemble the 852 a little but it is fast not XF. I will be throwing jerkbaits on the M F almost e...

“ The US video had some guy with a mullet and moustache “
Funniest thing I’ve read on here in a good while. I would however rank Seth quite a bit higher than “some guy”.

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
What is the consensus on the spinning rods? I know the 76mml is legendary but how are the other two? Trying to decide If I want to sell my unused nrx852s and pick up a steez ags spin during BF or wait and see if megabass releases a new series soon and hope they have a rehash of the addermine I’ve f...

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
Has anyone had any issues with the new ags guides thus far? The target sniper would be near perfect for my application, though the history of these guides makes me nervous. Fishing ozark rivers in a jet boat or canoe can occasionally be rough on equipment I do have the sensor but I baby it and have...

Yeah that was at ICAST. There’s one coming (it’s in production) from a name everyone here will recognize.LowRange wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 1:00 pmSomeone is already selling this rig as a bait with holes in it.

Hank was was most likely utilizing a Mann’s offering of that era.
Similar to the threading by Doug Hannon with the Burke series of the 80’s.

Re: Evergreen SB 777 and other small topwaters
So I finally got a chance to take the sb777 out tonight and play around with it. This thing is awesome! It walks effortlessly and I was casting it as far on my 6'8 spinning gear as I cast a full size topwater on my otomat! :big grin: I would think. It’s pretty hefty despite its length as is a Boyo ...

Re: BEST reel for weightless fluke
20 lb with a 1/10 (which isn’t “tiny”) Ned ?
I couldn’t imagine driving a hook into a 5lb smallmouth at distance with much of what’s been mentioned unless nose hooking.
No doubt a fluke could be launched on a moderate whatever and a light BFS rod.
Distance is one thing, fish ability another.

Re: BEST reel for weightless fluke
A differing view: A 902 Conquest or 902 NRX spin with a 4000 Exsence and braid will put a fluke into orbit. But I realize smallmouth guys are wired differently at times.

Re: Recommend a new finesse spinning rod
I would have to ask how much lead was being used on the “neds”/hook size and what depths being fished. Vertically dropping on fish or dragging a drop shot (how much weight being used there). That stuff would be a consideration at least for me.

Re: Recommend a new finesse spinning rod
Personally that’s different rods for each application. But I only fish smallmouth and have a lot of NRX/Conquest spins. Overall combo weight is great on paper. Hooked up with 5lb or better smallies in current I take more into consideration given each application. I buy combos for specific baits rath...
