Re: Daiwa SV Light LTD

Flukes of course come in a few sizes. What size are we talking about ? You have the reel. Give it a whirl. Someone could tell me a 100 Calcutta Conquest isn’t a great weightless plastic reel and I would agree. But I know from my experiences that it’ll bomb cast a Magnum Fluke. Understood. After car...

Re: Daiwa SV Light LTD

Casting a weightless Senko isn't too difficult Sure it is with a 7-6” flipping stick and a millionaire ! I was speaking of the BFS qualities that you discounted with this reel and not much from you on the 1/16 oz Ned Head capabilities.hmmmm.... Reread my remark.Weightless 4” senko and I neglected t...

Re: New Poison Adrena

can people post some pics of the balancing point of these rods? more the merrier. everybody keeps saying it's incredibly balanced so i just wanna c how balanced they r. thx Without a reel, very balanced - some of the best I've seen. Way less material in the handle design. I can only speak to the 6'...

Just picked up one after reading through the posts. Incredible reel to say the least. Currently running 2 brakes with braid. Effortless casting.
Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉🎊
It’s a heck of a reel man. It’s one that I have with me always

Re: Swim Jigs....when to use them???

I’ve been using them lately and I must say that the Gambler EZ vibes 3.75 is an EXCEPTIONAL trailer no need to rig it upside down or anything You feel it thumping on the retrieval. I’m not using anything special my 15lb big game bantam MGL on a Valkyrie rod gets it done. I’ve noticed an increase in ...

Re: New vs old greats for cranking.

I like the gear ratio and ergonomics of the TDZ-M
so I would highly suggest that reel

Re: New Saint overpriced or not?

I have a hard time saying anything is overpriced before I ever use or touch it and that seems to be the position of many of the posters. I do remember when Loomis came out with the Conquest and/or NRX rods and everyone cried that they were not worth it. Well the people that thought they were worth ...

What’s Your CrankBait System

I was watching some crankbait videos and the guy often used the term crankbait system which prompted me to look up the word system. Additionally I saw a few other videos that used the same term. All these guys had multiple rods and some of them were the same rod and reels but different line size and...

Re: My 2020 rod/reel arsenal - High end Shimano/Loomis

I have a bottom contact rod and that blank is mixed with Ritalin cause it’s hyper sensitive to me. What rod are you talking about??? Good luck on the AC :big grin: Man this comedic journey has failed me. I was drawing a comparison between the medication and the hyper sensitivity of the rod. Obvious...

Re: My 2020 rod/reel arsenal - High end Shimano/Loomis

I’m flat out over the NRX and I will say that my Antares HG on my 894 is a wonderful setup but the stick doesn’t have the sensitivity factor I had hoped for. I’ve never got a conquest but have considered it. The St. Croix sticks are under rated IMHO however price wise some may argue that they aren’t...

Re: My 2020 rod/reel arsenal - High end Shimano/Loomis

I though I had problems.... But those are good problems to have :big grin: You don’t know problems until your a/c gives out while the world is working from home and as you house temperature rises so to does the wife’s. Actually I’ve always thought she was at least 1000 degrees above room temperatur...

Re: New Saint overpriced or not?

NOLRAMB - I might have missed it, but which new Xtreme was used here? I have the 74H and the Steez AGS Bottom Contact rod. I've spent a lot of time with the Bottom Contact, and a little bit with the 74H so far. I've drawn some comparisons, but was curious about the differences in our perceptions. I...

Re: New Saint overpriced or not?

Just finished fishing these two, both rods had a Dobyns 1/2 football jig with a 3.75 flappin hog 1/2 inch cut off of it. The St. Croix was the clear winner, the grip/handle itself transmitted the lake bottom so much better, with the EVA on the Steez you could tell it was hampering the feel. I like ...
