Bees too! Around here, in the fall when the bees start to die off, they come up to eat them!

Re: What do you guys think about this move by Kistler?

You all work for and use pieces of metal that have "In God We Trust" written on them... :-k It's his company, and his products. If you're not comfortable showing or sharing your faith then don't. If you already buy and use Kistler rods, then you support Trey and his beliefs (he has no problem profes...

Re: shimano chronarch 101b

I bought a 100BPV a few years ago and it was sweet. I just sold it $100.

I bought a brand new 100B for $120 at a tackle store last year and am keeping it!

Re: What Reel is on Your GLX 893C JWR?

Incredible rod. I have the older model as well as the NRX 893 I've tried a few different reels on it (Curado E7, Calais 200A, Chronarch 50Mg, Calcutta TE200GT, Calais DC, Core 100MgFV) and ultimately the Calcutta 200DC which is now its permanent resident. I really liked the Calais DC on it but enjoy...

Re: ABU relaunching round reels at ICAST 2014

WOW. I'm excited! I've been holding my finger back from pulling the trigger on a Revo STX and dreaming of a new Morrum..

Still over a year away but it still gets me excited!

Re: Round Out my Rods

You have a great selection already! I would say take a look at the crucials if you don't want to spend too much! Under $200 gets you great a great rod and amazing value. I don't know what you're missing but maybe a spinning setup for tubes, drop shotting, and shaky heads. A spinnerbait rod? Maybe a ...

Both with x-ship, Chronarch Ci4 with same drag star as Calcutta d. Both look awesome. Can't wait to get them!

New Spey setup

Just picked up a new spey combo. Sage One 13'6" 8 wt. and Sage 4210 reel. Pretty awesome combo. Only tested it once so far on a small pond. One sunfish and one rainbow trout. Can't wait to test this on some steelhead! Going on a trip for salmon this summer too so that'll be the real test! Anybody el...

Re: Spinning rod for dragging tubes?

I was thinking of using my NRX893c for dragging 1/4 to 3/8 tubes and since I don't own a lot of spinning gear, I was wondering what I'm missing in using casting gear over spinning. That rod would be sweet for tubes. When I was out on St. Clair last summer I wish I would've thought of using mine ins...

Re: what if you could only use 3 setups

I guess it depends where - and what - I'm fishing for! These were the most used last year: • BCR 893 GLX - t-rigged senkos • NRX 893 JWR - wacky-rigged senkos (4" & 5"), cranks, light spinnerbaits (1/8 oz. - 3/8 oz.) I'm waiting on the GLX 855 CBR which will take over cranking, and I now need a spin...

Calais DC!

Great for everything! From plastics to jerks/cranks, and jigs to spinnerbaits! From perch to bass/pike/walleye, and carp/catfish to steelhead and salmon! I LOVE THIS REEL.
