Re: Steez A spool options?
I use to think that the G1 1012 and 1016 were the holy grails of spools for the new Steez platform. Then I got a Zpi Nrc001-m, and was blown away. The Steez SV TW spools will run great in the Steez A, but the Steez A spool not so much in the Steez SV TW. I'm not sure why anyone would want to use th...

Steez A spool options?
Looking for shallower spool options for the Steez A. Something around 120 yds of 12 lb line. Will the SV spool from the Steez fit into the A? Would like to hear what all options are out there. Thanks!

Re: Curado K....5 gear ratio?
Would it be a realistic option to offer gear sets in a 5.5? That would at least give those few an option without the need to mass produce a curado k in a power gear.

Curado K....5 gear ratio?
Is there a chance we will see this as an option in the future? I understand that sales of the 5 gear ratio are far below the 6,7,8 gear ratios. Even if there are no plans for a 5 gear Curado K, it would be a nice option to offer the gear sets for those people who still prefer power gears for deep cr...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??
Not to derail the thread ,but just a quick follow up on warranty from the previous discussions. Both rods are being replaced under warranty after their assessment. I won’t go into great detail but megabass stepped up and has been very good to work with. They have communicated well throughout the ent...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??
The comment about “doing something stupid to break a rod” was my attempt at saying,I don’t mind paying whatever to replace a rod when it was my fault. In this case, these rods failed under normal use early in the rods life. Yes, I have broke 5 rods now. 2 non megabass which were totally my fault. 3 ...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??
For the guys that broke their new xx rods. Why not just return the rods to the store vs going through the warranty process? I would hate to waste the one "free" warranty claim on a new barely used rod. I've got the Diablo and Brailist on pre-order, hoping for no issues with mines but sometimes u ne...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX... What’s next for the USDM??
I am in complete shock, I just picked up my Orochi XX Spec R today after work from my local tackle shop and decided to go fishing I have been waiting for months to get it and try it out. When I got my first bite I set the hook and to my complete shock the rod snapped right below the third guide! :s...

Re: Shimano Loomis Conquest rods
The 844 would be a better option for you for jig fishing. I own the conquest 844 and have a little time on it. So far I am very happy with it. The rod has typical 844 power but may be a little slower getting to it. The first 1/3 of the rod is a little more moderate to me than the new Glx 844 but onc...

Re: Metanium mgl vs chronarch mgl thread
I own both Metanium MGL HG and Chronarch MGL in the 6.2:1 ratio. I have limited time on the Chronarch but so far I really like it. The Metanium is an excellent reel and I have found that I prefer it for bottom contact fishing. It has found a home on my finesse jig stick. It has a shorter handle than...

Re: GLX crankbait rods
The 7'6" rod would personally fit me better for deep cranking. Baits up to a 6XD for example. I know there are also a lot of guys out there that like to throw lipless baits or middle diving crankbaits on 7'6" rods as well. For me, the 7'11" is just too much rod for me. The 7'1' is just a big short. ...

GLX crankbait rods
There seems to be a gap in the glx crankbait rod line. There are no sticks in the 7'6" range and I would love to see some options there. My favorite rod in this series is the 855. It does a lot of things very well. I would like to see a 7'6" rod that is similar to the 855. Maybe in 5 and 6 powers. I...

Re: Mark Rose KLX Offshore Rod 7'6"
A custom stick is a very nice option. I have done this in the past for a few other rods. They were very well built and I have enjoyed them. I had sticks built on the MBR GLX and Crankbait blanks....which are no longer offered. Mattman and George Roth are both excellent builders. Kistler is another o...

Re: Mark Rose KLX Offshore Rod 7'6"
Most cranking rods these days are either 7'0" or 7'11". There are not a whole lot of rods in that 7'6" range. I have been through a ton of deep crankbait rods over the years and have never really found "the one". I am still a fan of Loomis crankbait rods. The original CBR rods had some of the best a...
