Re: Differences in Alphas reels

so is there a big difference in the ize spool vs ito spool and the r-edition spool? or are they all the same thing? another question... don't wanna highjack the thread, but could the ito clear side plate improve performance? just wondering... :-k All Alphas/Sol spools weight 16g, even with a bit of...

Re: advantage handle fit zillion?

Yes it fits. A 50th handle is 4BB and will fit too...as does a Steez 100 handle.

Re: Yo Zuri Hybrid ?Stretch?

I can't give you anything quantitative either, but I've sed #6 YZH for drop-shotting with great success. There is a little bit of stretch, but nothing that grabs your attention unduly.

so you're saying the 103 has the "factory tuning" that the type f has?
The Type F is not "tuned". Neither is the 103. The R-Edition is tho.

Re: Nano resin - from the 2011 Custom Rod Expo

I can tell you why the results are inconsistent: non-homogeneity in the dispersion process!! A manufacturing company that is a client of mine has tested the 3M resin and has found that it is very inconsistent. For a fishing rod, it probably is not a big deal if a few break...for some other products ...

Re: Revo Premier as enthusiast tackle?

X2 =D> =D> x3 =D> =D> Then we shouldn't consider the new Loomis as enthusiast tackle either, correct? I'm not sure I'd call the NRX "enthusiast"...nor the new Legend Elites with NSi resin. I'd certainly call them high end tho. Contrast those two with the Evergreen stuff...rarity and all... To each ...

Re: New equipment?

I mostly salmon and steelhead fish in Lake Michigan and it's tributaries. I have an assortment of Shimano Stratics and Saros', a couple of Shimano Calcutta 200B's that I fish with. My best bud inherited a bass boat so I'm going to be doing some bass fishin'. Should I spend the money and buy some lo...

Re: How much does it cost to charge trolling batteries?

Depends on what the rate is from your utility. My rate is about $.07/kWh. If it takes a +12V, 15A charger 10 hours to charge a battery, that would be 1.8 kWh. Assuming a 70% efficiency in the charger, then you've used 2.57 kWh from the utility. That is 17.99 cents @ the $.07/kWh rate. Batteries are ...

I've used it before for cranking. Decent selection. A lot like Yozuri hybrid.
