Re: saltwater worthy reels

Drag is not really a issue I can whip a 40+" bull red or snook in a matter of minutes with my calcutta it has 10lbs of drag and I never use all of that.

Re: How to set the Curado 200E7 Brake Settings

I use every other one, thats 3 up..With a heavy wind and light bait, I'll use 4 up.I like to keep the spool tension knob sorta loose so there's no extra resistance on the retrieve.

Re: What is Your Favorite Scent?

I'm using Yum LPT Garlic for worms and Bang Craw for creature/craws.Main reason I spray soft plastics is to cover my scent,in hopes the fish will hold onto the bait longer.

Re: saltwater worthy reels

I use a calcutta 100B on the flats ,top water..Zillion Coastal is the best out of the ones you mentioned..Curado 300E is made for saltwater, its spool is solid not drilled out , that keeps saltwater off your spool bearings. My other inshore reels are Saros 3000's with 15# braid.

aznevolution8 wrote:What reel speed ishould i use if i will be throwing jerkbaits, CBs, topwater, and lipless CBs?
I use a curado 5.0:1 for lipped crankbaits , hard jerkbaits , and spinner baits.

For everything else its a curado 7.0:1

If you want to compromise the citica comes in a 6.3:1 ratio.
