Re: Does Megabass or other JDM company make a microguide rod
I know major craft's volkey rod uses micro guides. I have their 6'5" ML BFS 2-piece rod and it has microguides for every single guide up to the tip.

Can this be done?
I was wondering if it was possible to add another bearing to the Daiwa T3-1016 reel? This extra bearing that I'm talking about refers to the key no. 69 that can be found in the link below: http://www.daiwa.com/PartsDiagram/PartsDiagram/T3-1016H-1016SH.pdf The actual part number is F79-5801 which is ...

I'll be doing some fishing this weekend with the pixy and I'll let you know how these bearings go.lpquick wrote:Since the Pixy isn’t new to you, I’m very interested in your take of the BFS Air bearings versus whatever you’ve used previously, thanks for sharing.

Re: Carbon Fiber Swept Handles at Hedgehog Studios
I got the BFS air bearings. I didn't see a reason to buy the AIR bearings since the heaviest weight I'll be throwing on my pixy is no more than 1/4oz.lpquick wrote:Did you get the BFS Air bearings or just the Air bearings?

Re: Carbon Fiber Swept Handles at Hedgehog Studios
I put in my order for one of these handles last week. I received it today and decided to throw it on my jdm t3-1016 reel that I recently purchased. It looks pretty badass if you ask me. Reminds me of the alphas-R edition handle and how beautiful it was. As for the reel to the right, it's only a PIXZ...

Re: Flick Shake rod (casting)
I've used quite a bit of rods for flick shakes and other lightweight plastics like throwing weightless roboworms. For flick shakes, it depends on how weight you use. I'm assuming you will be using a 1/8oz zappu ichi jig head or something similar. I usually throw it on 1/16oz just because I can let i...

Re: How to Drop Shot
Now that I understand a little better what drop shotting is. What do all you guys run for a setup (rod, reel, line, favorite worm to use, etc.)? I mostly dropshot with my baitcast setups. I'm drop-shotting with my daiwa pixzilla with 4 or 5lb sunline fc sniper. I've also used 6lb tatsu (best flouro...

Re: How to Drop Shot
Here's a video from one of the best fishermen out there, Mr. Aaron Martens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmDHkzG7aio This video gives you a good idea how to get into dropshotting. In my opinion, you can use dropshot for anything. I fish from shore 95% of the time and dropshotting is NOT only a dee...

Re: Opinions on Seaguar AbrasX
I bought 3000yds of 8lb from a tacklewarehouse sale recently, so far my observations is that its stiffer than Vanish but for the same poundage seem to get less sudden breakoffs. In stiffness and manageability its akin to Sunline Sniper IMO. Wondering what other's think about it. Abrazx is a nice li...

Re: Working on Reels - Tips!
I have a question regarding Daiwa reels in general. What's the best method for removing and re-installing the clutch cam spring on these daiwa reels? I can clean the reel fine but when it comes to this piece, it totally blows my mind how hard it is to put back in sometimes. Any tips?

Question for the Daiwa Gurus
I'm looking to order some parts for my daiwa liberto pixy reel and was wondering if I can use parts from the Pixy Type-R. The specific pieces I'm looking for are: F05 - 5601 type-r drive shaft bearing G35 - 7701 clutch cam spring (A) G01 - 0201 clutch cam spring (B) Please let me know if these parts...

Re: T3 ballistic vs other t3's? wut's the diff?
Would you say that the ballistic casts the lighter stuff well? The more I look the more I just wanna get the T3 MX and be done with it...i like how the MX is all black and slat water safe....i found it 240$ with under 20$ shipping at this store http://jpangler.com/ but I haven't seen anyone talk ab...

Re: Which Calcutta
Hi I have read through a lot of posts but am still no nearer making a decision. I have narrowed my choice down to the following 3 reels which with shipping to the UK are 200B $265, 200GTB $344 or a 200D for $380. The reel is for use on a paddleboard mainly in salt water and mainly trolling but occa...
