Re: Shimano Scorpion 70HG v Scorpion XT 1000

That reel looks great and has me considering selling my curado 51 for a scorpion 71 lol.

Re: Got my new BFS combo today!

Loads nicely with a 3 inch. I've taken this rod down to 1/32oz and it will cast em. I did a review on this rod in the rods section. Sweet. Even though it's probably to heavy to be true bfs, the 3" senko and 4" cut tails catch me fish everywhere. So if that xl can really dig those size 1 ewg Gammys,...

Re: Got my new BFS combo today!

I'm curious how the xl would handle a 3" senko.
Has anyone tried?

Re: Your top cranks

Excellent, thanks guys! Ive been eyeing those newish Rapala ultralight cranks for a while now as well as the countdowns in the 1/8oz size. I could cover almost every depth with cranks from that series. Ideally I'd like them to weigh 1/8 or have some weight system like the xrap or pins minnows. Makes...

Your top cranks

I'm looking into some small cranks for my bfs or UL spinning. I usually don't fish them but I do have some original floating rapalas, shad raps and pins minnows. I'm really liking the way those yo zuri bevy series look but they are pricey. What's everyone's top 2 or 3 baits for each depth? Surface? ...

Re: Bfs rod after recon

I was considering that but read the rod had a softer tip which kind of pushed me away. I'd prefer something more fast.

Bfs rod after recon

The skinny grip on the phenix recon 682 is starting to get to me. It's not bad but definitely not the most comfortable. So I'm here looking for some suggestions on what I should look into next around the $200 mark. So far I'm looking at the major craft volkey and zodias and maybe the Jackson rods if...

Re: Is anyone else anti BFS

I'm kind of new to bfs but I love it. Something about catching cichlids one cast and peacock bass the next with a bait caster is just plain fun..... http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/sqhertz/Mobile%20Uploads/20140504_161528_resized_zps04cfc46b.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/sqhertz/...

Cast rainbows? Fish jumping in boat? Magic!?

I need to see about having him polish up my 51e sometime.

13 or Fenwick 2 piece

Looking for a ml or m 2 piece spinning rod and am torn between the 13 fishing and the hmg. I've owned Fenwick in the past and was always pleased with their performance but the omen looks nice....
Any input on these rods? How is the joint on the 13?
Thanks!

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

Well I was wearing a long sleeve too. But only to prevent me from baking in this November heat lol. I tried fishing in December while I was in NC a few years ago, there was no way. I didn't last an hour. I would love to get on some trout though. Nice catch http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/sqhe...
