Havasu3-8-20.jpg Prespawn beast from Lake Havasu on the Ned. A great way to finish a solid day of fishing! Great fish Todd. Havasu is a fun lake, I bet the Ned kills it over there! That setup in the picture is hard to put down because it is perfect for the NED. It is a Point Blank 6'9" MLXF with an...

Re: Sunline Super Natural

Super Natural is softer and a much smaller diameter than Big Game for the same test rating. I don't care for the dark green color of Super Natural. It needs to be lighter. I would fish the clear over the dark green if you are fishing the top half of the water column. Not smaller diameter for test r...

Re: 12# sniper?

The two keys to fluorocarbon are to be very gentle when you pull out backlashes, and to really wet your knots. You are probably at the threshold of the breaking strength of 12 lb. Sniper with the equipment that you are using after it has been kinked. Use a lighter rod, lighter drag setting, or go up...

Re: Is there that much "junk" line making it to shelves?

Most problems are because people choose the wrong line for their application, they don’t treat their equipment properly, or they don’t comprehend where the failure is coming from. There are definitely better lines for certain applications. Unfortunately, human nature is to place the blame elsewhere.

Re: Pinion to main gear relationship

I don't think that you need to mark the gears. Although the gears are brass, I don't think that they are very durable. Also, you may have put the reel together incorrectly, causing an issue. For what it's worth, I bought one of the first batch of Tatula Type-R reels. I hooked a catfish that was abou...

Snow moon slaunch donkeys
Nice. I crushed em on the this last full moon also. The fish fight so hard because they are so healthy and fresh. They were knocking slack in my line with the swimjig.

Re: K2 Blank Sensitivity Compared To NRX, Conquest, Poison Adrena Level Rods

Just out of curiosity, how many of these breakage reports are recent? Everything I've come across is from some time ago. Just as it was with the Recon, which Phenix addressed years ago. It would be nice to know more about each production run. I was suggesting on a thread on here a while ago that th...

Re: Best bang for the buck spinning reel

The Daiwa Lt spinners are a great value. Many can allow cheap and easy bearing upgrades on the spool, handle knob, and bail rollers, making them feel like the more expensive reels. I bought my two young boys cheap Daiwa RG's in the 2000 size to drag through the dirt when we are creek hopping for tro...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Seeing the 2 piece rods above reminded me of something. At the risk of going off-topic, I have a rather unique 2 piece rod that will go with me to my final rest. This started life as an Abu Olympian salmon steelhead rod. It had this huge, fat cork handle and a TCS reel seat, along with big double f...
