Re: Metanium worth the extra cost?

My last cleaning showed several teeth torn off my 13Met gear. Tuner thought it was because of braid. Reels are smooth but I know I have 2 gears to replace at next annual full cleaning. Replace them with brass, I changed my MGL and 13 to Curado K gears and they have both been super smooth since. My ...

Re: New drop shot hooks not finesse enough?

I tried quite a few and I also don't like those with swivels or stand out...

My go to is the roboworm rebarb.

Re: Line recommendations

I run 20lb and 30lb braid on almost all my rods except my swimbait rod.

The only thing I adjust are the leaders used, and thats only for presentation.

Like above has mentioned, the right drag settings is more important.

I don't prefer one Metanium over the other Metanium.

Basically take you pic, they are both awesome.

Re: Metanium worth the extra cost?

Would the metanium mgl make a better finesse reel for my glx 852c to throw weightless senko’s, finesse jigs, shakey head and such. Or would it make a better jig reel for throwing 3/8oz-1/2oz jigs with trailers on my glx 894c? Both. I use my Met 13 for lighter stuff and my Met MGL for 3/8 and up, bu...

Re: Glx 852c help

Right on! How do you compare the metanium mgl vs the metanium 13? I’m looking to outfit 2 rods with new reels. Are the metanium really worth the money over the chronarch mgl? I have 3 of them now and love the chronarch Thats a hard one on the MGL vs 13, my 13 is super-tuned with HH bearings and a y...

I've been using a 7' leader of fluorocarbon (tatsu) 10lb lately with a FG knot, its worked excellent.

The Tatsu has a bit of stretch, it reminds me of mono....

Re: Glx 852c help

I use the Metanium MGL with the NRX 852c for shakeyhead, 1/4oz tube jigs and lighter, I also have the Metanium 13 with a GLX 842c (Metanium 13 looks like its made for the GLX) I use it for spybaits and jerbaits. both are super sensative.. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4254/35402985730_0a1451fe3c_c....
