Re: Speed Clips
I cannot believe they still are on the market. I lost a good number of baits because of them. I was just reeling in and -boom- the baits just comes off. Like that! Stay away from those. Cross snaps are way better.

Re: Lunker Punker 8" problem and defect
I wonder where you got the idea to buy a punker in the first place! Gee, next time I'll just throw a JDM bait like every one else!! In a case like this you should just give them a call first. I talked to Grant a couple of time and he seems like a good guy. I'm sure he'll take care of you. On the oth...

Re: Do rod blanks age?
Thanks for your input. It's a professional opinion and yet has nothing to gain or loose in the fishing rod business!!
So according to you it would take many life time for the graphite to change enough to be noticeable, right?

Do rod blanks age?
While fishing the other day I was having that conversation with my buddy about older rods. He thought after enough fish and many hours of fishing a rod blank would loose its action and sort of loosen over time. On the other hand I thought that within reason, a rod blank doesn't get softer over time ...

Re: Hand Tied or Banded Jigs?
I replace the rubber band by a tiny cable tie. It's easy to put on and awefully strong.
The thing with hand tied is that you can't switch skirts. That's ok for jigs but what about spinnerbaits?
I saw these skirt rings the other day and wondered how good it is? has anybody tried this?

Ike is so overdoing it! It drives me nuts! Did he really have to step on his official? Is a pound and half fish a "giant" in New Jersey?

Re: Owner jig rig....more plastic fun!
I've made my own with any hook and a Reins drop shot tungsten weight. These weight have a round line tie and not a regular pincher. I experimented with a secondery split ring but found it didn't had any benefit. I can shake that worm just like a shaky rig except I always have the right hook size for...

Re: Speaking of Creatures...
Cutting a pincher off might unbalance the bait and cause line twist and bad presentation. When I loose one pincher I discard the bait. Why don't manufacturers make craw baits with one transparent pincher? That would work just as good, wouldn't it?

Who's throwing big worms?
For quiet some time I've heard about big 8 to 10" worms. I've been wanting to try them out so I baught a couple bags of mangnum zoom worms. And so far I have not had one bite. Part of the reason is I don't trhow them enough. And in turn it's because I'm not happy with how I rig them. I don't know wh...
