Re: Shimano Casitas ?
Anybody get more time on the water with theirs? Also, the JDM version will have an MGL spool like the much more pricey new Metanium. Might be interesting to get a spool to swap out. I wonder how much the MGL spool on the Casitas weighs in comparison to the original. The USDM Casitas total overall w...

Re: new Tatula CT
Does anyone know the profile size of the CT compared to a Curado 200/201? They both weigh 7.4 ounces but I am hoping the CT is smaller and palms better.

Lol I couldn't help but chuckle at the end when he set the brakes to 0 and created a bird's nest. Looked like 10 was the optimal setting for 2.8 grams.

Sorry but I can't buy just 2 combos. Being a multi-species angler I need at least 5! 9 to 10 feet rods for pier fishing is a must... then bass fishing and ice fishing...

Another vote for fluoro review. I already have my favorite monos and braid. Still haven't found a flouro I love yet.

Re: new Tatula CT
To be honest I was packing tackle shooting pics and in a hundred directions tonight. Can't be 100% about height but it does feel that It palms a whole lot better than original. I would have needed to put the OG tat on the same stick to compare it but I just pulled the Core off and threw on the CT. ...

Re: Favorite 3/8 shallow cranking rod?
Lots of good rods mentioned but my absolute favorite is the Tatula ML Casting rod that Randy Howell used to win the 2014 Bassmaster Classic on Lake Guntersville. I even like it better than the Orochi XX Flat Side Special and that costs twice as much. I think the FSS looks better cosmetically but I l...

Re: Stradic FK on a XX DS rod balance?
i originally bought the orochi xx dropshot rod for throwing #5 and 7 shallow shad raps, and it works GREAT for that purpose, also works well for jerkbaits, up to the shadow rap (would probably want a heavier rod if i were to throw shadow rap sized baits more). this year it will be my dedicated drop...

Re: Stradic FK on a XX DS rod balance?
Wow 21farms that balance is awesome. Now I want that rod. My St Croix Legend Elite rod's fulcrum point is about 3 inches above where yours is with an 8 oz reel and feels slightly tip heavy. Btw can you guys give some feedback on that rod? How does it handle other applications like 1/4 to 3/8 oz sma...

Hope they make an Arachnid CT for Cabela's. I prefer the blue over red.
