Re: My 101DC Needs a New Rod (or Entering the Very Dark Side
I would go with either of these two:
Megabass
F4-71X
F4-68X Jabberwock
or
Kistler
Kistler LTA Cast Rod 7' Med Hvy
Kistler LTA Cast Rod 7'6" Med Hvy
I have both MBs and Heliums. You should be happy with either.

Re: anyone used any of Kistlers Helium 2 LTX telescopic rods
My neighbor just got a LTX Telescoping 7/6 Heavy today. He fishes tournaments and roll casts lightweight jigs under docks a lot. He wanted the length and heft of a Heavy rod but with a fast tip for roll casts and skipping jigs. He practiced with it in his swimming pool and was ecstatic about its cap...

Re: Your Favorite(s) JDM tackle 1 year or more later
My first JDM item was a Megabass PopX in their Bass color and I bought them about 9 years ago.....from Cabela's of all places. They brought many a Bass to the boat. I gave several away to friends too. I tried various other lures after that and I can't remember them but recently, Jackall's Ar...

Now that's my kind of Bassin' weather! Love my Southern summertimes!
What a fine, fat fish. Great catchin' on a hard-bite day young man.
