Re: Calcutta 200b/gtb
I have the 300TE and 400TE, both are great reels. The only downside is shimano no longer has replacement parts for those reels. So if something breaks you would have to buy another reel to replace the part. Shimano will service your Calcutta but they will let you know that they don’t have any parts ...

Dobyns Champion XP 735 Full Hamdle $259.

Re: Phenix Ultra MBX medium power
Depends on the length too.
But don’t be fooled by phenix, some of their rods are over rated. I have one that’s medium fast and it feels more like a moderate fast rod, but when pulling on it by hand it feels like it has a enough back bone.

Re: Jerkbait rod
Ohh! Definitely can’t go wrong with Dobyns. I landed 10 stripers on one of the Sierra models, can’t remeber which one but definitely had a soft enough tip to keep the LC jerkbait pin I the stripers.zodiak311 wrote:Dobyns 685cb is another one I use a lot.

Re: EDGE RODS by Gary Loomis?
I know I mention Dobyns a lot here on this forum. I am not a pro staff for them or have any connections to them. But you should defiantly Give them a try. I fish gloomis, shimano, Dobyns, cousins tackle, st croix and a few others. Personally, Dobyns make great rods for the price, I have their low e...

Re: Megabass Levante EMTF
The is fairly light, if your holding the rod with a reel on it, it will definyfeel too heavy, but once you place your favorite reel on this rod it will balance out.

GLX 843 mbr My man, as do I. My former 783 I had 3” taken off the butt because at the time I like rods shorter than 6-6 (I’m 5-10) but recently broke the tip on a smallie outing, so I started using a 6-6 and I’m perfectly fine with that now. I love the GLX 843 for Vision 110+1’s and Lucky Craft’s d...

Re: EDGE RODS by Gary Loomis?
My buddy uses them, he broke 2 out of the 4 in a hook set and had a hard time dealing with customer service. I think this is the norm...they're completely understaffed in customer service from all the stories you hear, and it becomes a nightmare (or test of patience) to deal with them. They're real...
