Re: Official z2020 Capacity!
The one thing to consider is that the 20# 832 probably breaks at near 30 which at 10# drag would be a nice setup for saltwater. I've stopped monsters with 13# or less. However, I'm guessing on a Kayak that 10# drag may take you for a ride. Lol I'm bringing a backup rod with a 6500 sized round reel ...

Re: Official z2020 Capacity!
Forgot to mention that 250 yards is spooled exactly to outer lip of spool (flush with spool edge). So if you MUST spool more, it is possible, but that's not really the point.

Official z2020 Capacity!
Alright, maybe not "official," but I finally measured exactly how much line I could spool my Z with. This should be exactly the same capacity of the z200 and pluton 200 which both have that "questionable" capacity as well. I'm getting ready for some offshore kayak fishing so I really needed to load ...

Re: 2012 Antares experience
Compared w shim Japanese website specs on conquest 200, dc7 lv n this spool. I wud presume this to be fairly consistent. The spool cap on this yumeya deepspool is bigger than dc7 lv, on par with conquest 200. But how it compares exactly against the capacity of z2020 i do not know coz i dun have tha...

Re: PowerPro Super 8 Slick, Marine Blue
after extensive usage, this line bleeds from darker color to a lighter color. doesn't really lose its color but just a lighter shade. coating stays tho. and line remains smooth. does seem to soak up a little water too, but overall feel and casting performance makes me forget all that. with this lin...

What he said^^smalliesteve wrote:The drag can't take up any slack and you'd be more likely to have the fish throw the lure if the line doesn't stay tight.

Re: Best shapes / types of jigheads
Footballs are a long time favorite for dragging, especially over rock. Brush heads are my absolute favorite "do everything jig." Poison tail heads are my favorite for swimming, especially through weeds. I just wish there was a way to pour owner deepthroat hooks into poison tail heads

Re: Anyone here use their Daiwa reels in brackish water?
Well I'm going offshore fishing for the first time next week for a nice litte vacation, and I will undoubtedly be testing my Z against some cobia and sharks from a kayak \:D/ Let us know how that goes. I'm going to check out a Pro Anger today for the same purpose. Nice. A buddy has a pro angler alo...

Re: Daiwa Z200H
On the Z2020 yes it has a waterproof drag but you lose 3.5lbs of drag power, the Z200 has 16.5lbs and Z2020 has 13.0. I know where you are coming from G about the pricing, the Z200 should be about $50.00 less [-X [-X [-X Just my take, but comparing the USDM Steez to JDM Steez, I'd say the z200 shou...
